except neet and cet more medical exams i want to know

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 13th Nov, 2019

Gauri, NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. CETs have been replaced by NEET and NEET is a national level entrance examination. Now NEET is mandatory even to study MBBS abroad. CETs conduct the State Counselling of their respective States and that is it. NEET remains the sole Medical Entrance Examination for MBBS, BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses.

I am from Kolkata and I will give neet this year.i am under general category.how much do I need to score to get chance in a good govt college like NRS or Calcutta medical college or others?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 13th Nov, 2019

In 2018 under State Quota, 533 marks secured a seat in Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and 509 marks secured a seat in Calcutta Medical College. Now this is 20188 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs depend on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Considering all these factors, you should aim for atleast 550 and more.

On average, how many people take the NEET exam from Rajasthan

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 13th Nov, 2019
Every year on an average 1-2 lakh Candidates apoear for NEET from Rajasthan. NTA conducts NEET at the National level and so it is difficult to keep a track of State level aspirants. So this no# is not accurate amd its just an approximate number. These Candidates compete for approximately 2075 MBBS seats and 1190 BDS seats. I belong to general category and my state of domicile is odisha. so how much do I have to score to get govt seat in neet 2020?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 13th Nov, 2019

We do not have 2019 data yet. But in 2018, under State quota, 508 marks secured a seat in Balangir Medical College under General Category. That was the cut off. Now cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Considering all these facts, you should atleast aim for 550 and above.
