    Goa MBBS merit list 2026: Tie-breaker criteria

    If two or more candidates score equal marks in the NEET 2026 examination, the authorities will apply the following tie-breaker criteria to resolve ties.

    • A candidate scoring higher marks in the NEET Biology section will be placed higher in the Goa MBBS merit list.

    • If the tie still remains, a candidate with higher scores in NEET Chemistry 2026 will be placed higher.

    • In case the tie persists, a candidate with a lesser number of incorrect answers will be given a higher position in the Goa NEET 2026 merit list.

    • At last, seniority in age will be used to resolve the ties in the merit list of Goa MBBS 2026.

    What after Goa MBBS merit list 2026?

    Candidates with their names on the Goa MBBS 2026 merit list will be called for the state counselling procedure. The Goa NEET counselling 2026 will be conducted in online mode. During the counselling of Goa MBBS 2026, candidates will have to submit their colleges and course preferences. On the basis of filled choices, NEET 2026 rank, eligibility, and other factors, DTE will conduct the Goa MBBS seat allotment process. The candidates who will be allotted seats in Goa MBBS counselling 2026, will be required to report to the respective colleges for further admission process.

    I had enrolled myself in bcom course in Rajdhani college bhubaneswar last year(2025-26). Due to preparation for neet i took a 1 year gap and didn't attend any classes and semster exam for 1st year. Now i am planning to pursue bcom. But as far i know according to rules my admission will be cancelled as i didn't attend any classes and semster exam. Can i attend the 2nd year classes? What should i do as i want to continue in that same college?? please guide me.

    You need to visit the college and contact the principal to check if you are eligible for semester exams of 1st year. If required, you need to reapply for admission in first year to maintain a regular degree.
