DTE Goa - The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) was established in 1986 under the Government of Goa, which is headquartered in Bardez. The Directorate was established by the government to introduce new technical, medical institutes, and courses in the state of Goa. The technical or medical education in the state is facilitated by the boards of education under the state of Goa. The competent authority DTE Goa is also responsible for conducting the centralized counselling for granting admission to affiliated technical, professional, or medical institutes to the students of the state of Goa.

Only on the basis of the medical entrance test conducted at the national level by the competent authorities, the medical admission in the state is granted by DTE Goa. Aspirants have to apply separately under the state competent authority for taking the medical admission in the state. Aspirants fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be required to fill the application form within the due date specified by DTE Goa. The Goa MBBS application form can be downloaded in an online or offline mode both but required to be submitted in the offline mode. Fill the application form by writing name, gender, Aadhar card details, contact number, and DOB correctly.
Affix two recent passport-size photographs, of which one is to be attached with the application form and the other on the acknowledgment card.
Candidates will have to submit the duly filled application form to the state counselling authority with a Demand Draft of the application fee.
Aspirants are then advised to take a confirmation page from the respective authorities for future references.

On the basis of the successful filling of the application form, DTE Goa uses to release the merit list in online mode at its official website. The merit list of DTE Goa includes the names of applicants who are eligible for the further admission process.
The Goa merit list includes all the necessary details such as registration number, categories, candidate’s name, gender, Class 12 roll number and score, birth date, NEET score, qualifying scores, and eligibility status of the applicant. However, the merit list of postgraduate medical admission indicates the name of candidate, state merit rank, NEET PG rank, date of birth, and percentile scores. Only aspirants whose names will appear on the merit list are invited to participate in the counselling.
For both UG and PG medical admission in the state, DTE Goa is the competent authority to release the cutoff. For only qualified aspirants, DTE will release the NEET cutoff Goa. In order to take admission, the cutoff comprises the last rank and the equivalent scores obtained by the aspirants in the entrance exam, on the basis of which admission will be granted.

DTE Goa is the competent authority to conduct centralized counselling for granting medical and dental admission offered by the affiliated institutes under this directorate. As per the previous trends, the mode of the conduction of both UG and PG counselling is online. Only aspirants whose names will be included in the merit list can participate in the Goa counselling process. DTE will conduct a total of three rounds of counselling, including a mop-up round.
Candidates are required to give their preferences for college and course at the time of counselling. On the basis of choices filled, availability of seats, state merit rank, and other determining factors, medical admissions will be granted by authorities. In order to complete the admission process, aspirants who will be allotted seats in a particular round will be required to report at the allotted institutes after the seat allocation.

Such as Government Medical College of Palakkad or Government Medical College of Barmati.
