National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG)
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts NEET in pen paper based mode, nationwide for medical and dental colleges. NEET 2020, will be conducted on July 26, 2020 for admission to 1,63,150 MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc and AH courses offered by 542 medical, 313 dental, 914 AYUSH, 47 BVSc and AH, 15 AIIMS and 2 JIPMER colleges across India. Candidates must note that this is the single national level medical and dental entrance exam for undergraduate courses.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS)
National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts NEET MDS for granting admission to around 1326 Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats. NEET MDS 2020 was conducted on December 20, 2019 in computer based mode. After the examinations On behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counselling for 15% AIQ seats. The respective state counselling authorities conduct NEET MDS counselling for 85% state quota seats.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Postgraduate (AIIMS PG)
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi conducts the exam for AIIMS PG which is held in two sessions, that is, January and July. AIIMS PG 2020 for July session was conducted on June 11 in computer based mode. The exam is conducted for admission to 643 MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh seats offered in seven AIIMS institutes located in Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Nagpur and Rishikesh
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Postgraduate (JIPMER PG)
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry conducts JIPMER PG entrance exam for two sessions, i.e., January and July. The examination is held in 125 test cities across the nation in computer based mode. JIPMER PG 2020 for the July session will be held on June 21. JIPMER is an Institution of National Importance (INI) and has the sole authority to carry out the entire admission process and has the final say in all matters of dispute.
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER)
The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh is the authority responsible for conducting PGIMER. This exam is also conducted for two sessions, i.e., January and July. PGIMER 2020 for the July session will be conducted on June 14. The authorities conduct the examination in online mode across 16 test cities.
