The NTA has released an official video guiding candidates on NEET UG payment issues 2026. The authority has specified certain points on what to do if NEET 2026 payment fails. As per the NTA, instead of immediately retrying payment, candidates are advised to:
Wait for some time after the initial payment attempt as the bank may take time to update the transaction status.
In case the payment is not successful, candidates must log out and then log in back after some time to check the payment status.
Candidates must check the payment status verification option available on the NEET application form portal to confirm whether the fee has been paid or not.
Candidates can check the payment status of NEET 2026 from the official website. A successful NEET 2026 application form fee payment status is confirmed when the portal generates a payment receipt. Candidates can check the NEET 2026 payment status by following the steps mentioned below.
Go to the NEET official website.
Login using NEET 2026 application number and password.
Check the ‘Fee Payment’ status.
If it's displaying ‘Incomplete’, you need to process the payment again.
If the status is ‘Complete’ download the NEET 2026 confirmation page.
It may happen that the NEET 2026 application fee has been deducted from the candidate’s account; however, the portal shows an ‘Incomplete’ fee payment status. In such cases, candidates must not panic and follow the below mentioned instructions.
