PGIMER Exam Pattern 2020 - Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh (PGIMER) will reveal PGIMER 2020 exam pattern July session of MD/MS entrance test with the information brochure. Through an official notification, the authorities have announced the exam dates for the PGIMER exam July, which is scheduled to be conducted on May 23, 2020. Aspirants who wish to qualify the postgraduate medical courses need to know the exam pattern of PGIMER 2020 thoroughly to be able to crack the exam using the right strategy. As per the PGIMER paper pattern, the exam will be held in a computer-based mode for a duration of 180 minutes in which aspirants need to attempt 250 multiple-choice questions based on the MBBS syllabus. The syllabus for PGIMER 2020 releases through an information bulletin by the exam conducting authority. The approximate number of questions subject-wise is mentioned below in the table. Aspirants are advised to check the table for better knowledge and understanding of which subject carries the maximum marks weight-age and which carries the minimum. As a total number of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) asked in the PGIMER exam is 250 with five alternative responses for each question, that amounts to a total of 1250 responses.
For each question, at least one correct response will be there and may or may not have more than one correct response.
An aspirant will be awarded marks for every correct answer and negative marking will be done for every incorrect answer. It is to be noted that no marks will be given for deducted for questions left unanswered.
The percentage score of a candidate as per the PGIMER 2020 exam pattern will be determined using the following formula:

Candidates who will successfully submit the PGIMER application form 2020 will be issued PGIMER 2020 admit card. Before the release of the admit card, the authority will release the mock test for all the registered candidates. Candidates must carry the admit card on the day of examination in order to enter the examination hall. Along with the admit card, the candidate will be required to mandatorily carry a valid photo ID proof. The admit card of PGIMER 2020 discloses the address of examination center, reporting time amongst other crucial information regarding the exam.
PGIMER 2020 exam result will be declared tentatively on May 28, 2020. The result for PGIMER 2020 will be announced in the form of a scorecard that can be checked using the login ID, password and captcha code. Based on the scores of PGIMER 2020, the authority will also release PGIMER merit list 2020 with the name of the candidates who are eligible to appear for the counselling process. PGIMER 2020 result for MD/MS courses will mention the names of candidates, roll number, total percentile & marks obtained, subject-wise scores, All India Rank (AIR) and other counselling details. Candidates who will secure the minimum required percentile as declared by the exam conducting authority will be considered to have cleared the entrance examination.
