Number of attempts is not equal to number of marks you shall obtain eventually. If you don't get too many negatives you might get good marks so it's a respective term as to whether you will score enough to get into AIIMS or not.

The minimum mark to qualify the exam is 50% for general category, 45% for obc and 40% for sc /st.
