Yes, there is reservation but only for students who have Puducherry Domicile. As per the brochure of the institute, 30 seats are reserved for Puducherry students (23 in JIPMER Puducherry; 07 in JIPMER, Karaikal).

Yes character certificate is mandatory if you wish to seek admission in JIPMER as the college authority needs to know your behavioural records.
