Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research MBBS Entrance Exam
Hi Sekhar!
JIPMER used to have a separate exam of their own for the admission in Medical Courses! But now, they have totally scraped out that and NEET is the basic priority considered for admission. Only your NEET Score will get you admision in JIPMER. There are 2 JIPMER Colleges one in Puducherry and another in Karaikal. The former has 150 seats and the latter has 50 seats!
Hope this is helpful!
All the best!

Hello, Till last year JIPMER used to conduct their own computer based entrance exam but from this year all the admissions to mbbs and bds courses will be done on the basis of NEET scores. So estimating the cut off isn't easy , however you can aim for a NEET score of 550+ which will definately fetch you a mbbs seat at government medical college of your state. Hope this helps
