If my AIR is 999559 and sc category rank is 129536 but my schooling and residence is done in punjab state. Can I get mbbs seat at semi govt college in punjab on the basis of state domicile quota/certificate?

Nischal Kothapalli 29th Jul, 2026

hey,

With AIR 9,99,559 and SC category rank 1,29,536 , getting a semi-government MBBS seat in Punjab is very unlikely , even with a Punjab domicile . However, you should still participate in Punjab state counselling , as cutoffs vary each year and vacancies may arise in later rounds.

thanks,

I have 495 marks in NEET Exam 2026. My AIR Rank is 97216 while OBC NCL rank is 48323. My home state is Bihar. What is the chance for MBBS and BDS.

Ananya Hira 29th Jul, 2026

MBBS (Government College, Bihar): Chances are low, as recent cut-offs have generally closed at better ranks for OBC-NCL candidates.

MBBS (Private Colleges): You have good chances, depending on the college and fee structure.

BDS (Government): You may have a reasonable chance in later rounds or mop-up rounds, depending on seat
