Candidates qualified for the NEET 2026 are eligible to participate in the counselling for admission under 85% of state quota seats. To participate in the UP counselling of NEET 2026, aspirants have to register for the counselling. The seats under UP NEET UG counselling 2026 are allotted based on the merit list, followed by the document verification process. The UP MBBS counselling is done based on scores obtained by the candidates in the NEET exam.

As UP MBBS 2026 counselling is held online, aspirants are required to submit their options online. Aspirants will be required to log in to the same portal where they have filled UP NEET application form 2026. Steps on how to participate in UP NEET counselling 2026 are mentioned below.
Aspirants need to log in with their credentials, such as roll number and password of NEET 2026 that they created while registering. A list of colleges will then be displayed on the screen after the successful login. Candidates will have to pay Rs 2000 as registration fee.
From the list of colleges, aspirants must choose the colleges they wish to get into. Candidates can choose any number of colleges. The institutes which are already selected can be deleted and interchanged. Aspirants must save the choices after the selection.
After the choice filling, aspirants are required to lock their choice for the final submission before the UP MBBS 2026 counselling. Candidates should know that the choices locked cannot be changed again, therefore, they are advised to mark their options carefully.
Based on the choices made by the aspirants during UPDGME UG counselling 2026, rank, seats available, reservation, and other factors, the authority will conduct the seat allotment. Candidates who will be allotted seats will be required to report to the allotted college before the stipulated period along with the required documents.
Each candidate will have to pay security money in online mode. It is to be noted that the security money will be returned to the aspirants after the completion of the UP NEET 2026 admission procedure. Any candidate who wishes to appear for counselling meant only for government colleges will be required to pay a sum of Rs. 30,000.
On the other hand, an aspirant who wishes to appear for counselling for admission to private medical colleges will be required to pay a sum of Rs 2,00,000. In case an aspirant wants to participate in the counselling for both government and private colleges, they have to pay a sum of Rs 2,00,000. If the candidate fails to report to the college where the candidate has been allotted a seat or withdraws from admission after the conclusion of the UP MBBS 2026 admission procedure, the security money submitted by the candidate will be seized.
Applicants included in the NEET merit list of UP state must appear at the specified location to authenticate their documents. The schedule for document verification is issued shortly after the UP MBBS admission merit lists are published. If a candidate fails to present any of the stipulated documents, they will be ineligible for the subsequent admission procedures.
