Hi,
For preparing the PGIMER Entrance Exam, either for Nursing or Paramedical, NCERTs can act as a strong base. NCERTs can assist you in helping clearing your basics in the subject. If we come on to the questions asked in the entrance exam, it requires some more knowledge than NCERTs. You can refer to books such as Trueman's for Biology, Pradeep/HC Verma/RS Aggarwal for Physics, Chemistry. You can read any of the reference books which you have used earlier for class 11 and class 12. For the GK part, if you read daily newspaper and have a basic General knowledge, it would be suffice. For English, you can refer to Arihant Objective English book. NCERTs can surely help in clearing your exam, but to get a rank, you need to prepare additionally as the cutoff is very high especially if you belong to general category, even a 98 percentile do not secure a seat. So, always be ahead in preparation and prepare from reference books. Practice as many questions as you can. You can get books for the PGIMER preparation and can solve mock papers for the same. Practice is an important key to secure rank in this entrance exam.

For ST Category it is 40 percentile
For PWD category it is 45 percentile
Minimum cut off percentile is constant but as the standard of the question paper and total number of candidates appraring in the exam are no constant . So cut off marks vary
