The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) are the popular nursing courses for candidates after Class 12 in India. The course covers basic healthcare skills by providing best treatment to the patients. Candidates who apply for the ANM course must be at least 17 years old and the maximum age limit is 35 years. Admission process: The GNM admission will be granted both direct and through the entrance examination conducted by the respective institutions. Top entrance exams include AIIMS Nursing Entrance Exam, JIPMER Nursing Entrance Exam, IGNOU OPENNET and BHU Nursing Entrance Exam.
The ANM admission process will be done through counselling which is held at the state, national, or college levels.
