Master's programs in Sustainability Science and Practice; Climate Change Science and Practice; Urban Economic and Infrastructure Development; Human Development Policy and Practice
Bachelor of Science in Dialysis Technology is a 3-year undergraduate program. Students can opt for this program after 10+2 in PCB (physics, Chemistry and Biology). In this program, students gain complete knowledge about assisting with dialysis with proper medical terms and in handling emergencies in the dialysis unit. Students learn to operate dialysis machines and manage patients with kidney failure. These technicians are very essential members of renal care teams and provide safe and effective treatment during hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis procedures.

Due to a rise in diabetes and hypertension, patients developed chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease (ESRD), which required skilled dialysis technologists, making it a promising career in the paramedical sciences. Students study Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology in the first semester, followed by Anatomy and physiology of Human Kidney, Renal Disease, Dialysis technology and pharmacology, concepts of Renal Disease and Nutrition in subsequent semesters.
The scope of BSc Dialysis Technology is vast. Dialysis technicians play a vital role in the treatment of patients whose kidneys are unable to function adequately. As the prevalence of kidney-related disorders is increasing because of a sedentary lifestyle, which increases the risk of diabetes and hypertension and thus leads to microvascular complications like diabetic nephropathy, etc. so dialysis units in hospitals and private centres are also increasing, thus expanding the scope of this course. BSc Renal Dialysis Technology graduates are being trained to handle technical, clinical and patient care aspects of dialysis procedures.
