IGNOU BSc Nursing eligibility criteria

Interested candidates should meet the requirements to be eligible for the IGNOU BSc nursing admission 2025. Check the eligibility criteria for IGNOU nursing below:

  1. Candidates with 10+2 with a 1-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and at least two years of experience in the profession.

  2. Male nurses without midwifery in the GNM programme must obtain a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council instead of midwifery.

  3. In-service Nurses (RNRM) must have passed 10th or its equivalent with a years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of five years of experience (after registration as RNRM) are eligible.

  4. Male nurses without GNM must have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration provided by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.

  5. Candidates having 10+2 and GNM must not apply if experience after RNRM is less than two years.

  6. Candidates having 10th and GNM must not apply if they have less than 5 years of experience after RNRM.

  7. There is no maximum age limit.
