Careers360: Congratulations, Can you please share with us about your PG preparation and how your current knowledge helped you to crack INICET?

Dr. Devesh: I was a studious student from my first year. I used to study from standard textbooks. I focused on those topics which I was not aware of. For second and third year, I prepared myself by watching Marrow videos.

Careers360: Can you tell us how you incorporate QBank in your preparations and how you maximise benefits from this QBank?

Dr. Devesh: My main source for INICET preparation was QBank only, not the videos. One of my friends taught me how to use QBank for preparation purposes. Along with textbooks, I used to revise QBank multiple times to prepare for the INICET exam. Solve the questions given in the bank and make yourself prepare for the exams.

Careers360: Can you please describe when you start taking the mock tests to prepare for INICET and how did you benchmark your preparation as compared to other students?

Dr. Devesh: Basically, I started taking the grand tests after starting my final year. My major focus was on subject tests and grand tests. In every test, I used to review all the things related to preparation and devoted separate time. Grand tests help where a student is standing and get the status about your preparation. I was getting pretty good ranks in GT. I used to look out for the GT ranks also and engage my performance and check my weaker sections where I am lacking.

Careers360: Tell us something about your revision strategy and how it helped you to improve the exciting knowledge?

Dr. Devesh: I used to review videos of many subjects in folders again and again. As this was my second attempt and I did not revise much. I finished my revisions a few months ago and after that I focussed on GT’s to improve my rank. I would suggest just revise notes only once with attention and a lot of practice.

Careers360: Any final advice for aspirants who want to appear for the INICET exam?

Dr. Devesh: I would suggest them to decide branch and target earlier and focus on GTs and check your ranks in the tests. Be consistent throughout your preparation and be prepared in advance for the exam.
