Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2019 - Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra, has released a notification cancelling the seat allotted in round one and two of counselling of Maharashtra PG medical 2019. The seats allotted in first and second round has been cancelled due to the orders of Bombay High Court regarding the SEBC seat reservation. The revised schedule for Maharashtra PG medical 2019 counselling has been released. As per the latest schedule, the Maharahstra PG medical merit list 2019 has been released on May 10. The choice filling and locking for Maharahstra PG medical/dental counselling has started from May 11 to 13, 2019. Maharahstra PG medical seat allotment list 2019 was expected to be released on May 14, which has not been published yet. Earlier, the authority has released the Maharashtra PG medical/dental second seat allotment list 2019 on April 25. Along with that, the seat matrix of Maharashtra PG/MDS 2019 after the transfer of AIQ seats has been released. The link to download the same is provided on this page. DMER had announced second round schedule of counselling of Maharashtra PG 2019, which is provided below. DMER, Maharashtra has released the final status report of Maharashtra PG medical/dental 2019 counselling round one as on April 20 at 06:00 PM. The link to download the final status has been provided on this page. Earlier, the counselling committee had extended the schedule for online registration and document verification process of Maharashtra PG MDS Counselling. The extended schedule was announced to accommodate lowered cutoff percentile; it may be recalled that NBE had lowered the qualifying percentile for MDS in its revised result. The new dates to register was from April 15-17; earlier registration was open from February 25-March 5. Document verification is open till April 20. The revised combined cutoff for Maharashtra PG MDS 2019 will be published on April 21, which will be followed by choice filling by merit list candidates from April 22-23.


There are two rounds conducted for the counselling of Maharashtra PG medical 2019. Only candidates included in the Maharashtra PG medical merit list 2019 are eligible to participate for counselling process. The counselling is conducted for admission to 50% state quota seats offered by government and private medical colleges located in Maharashtra. Around 456 MD, 138 MD and 134 PG Diploma seats will be offered through Maharashtra PG medical 2019 counselling.


Before the commencement of counselling, the registered aspirants must attend the document verification purpose. Candidates must attend the verification purposes within the stipulated date and time. For participation of Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2019, aspirants need to register themselves entering the basic details. While registration for counselling, candidates need to provide the choices of colleges as well as courses as per their preferences. With these choices filled, state merit rank and seats available, the admission will be granted. Once the eligible candidates will be allotted seats, they will be required to report at the respective colleges for completion of admission process. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) is a national level entrance test for admission to MD/MS and PG Diploma seats. NEET PG 2019 has been conducted on January 6 in computer based mode. 50% seats from government medical colleges will be reserved for All India Quota seats, which will be organised by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Only AIIMS PG, JIPMER PG and PGIMER will conduct their own entrance examination for admission due to institute of national importance.

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling: Round one

  • To participate in counselling, aspirants have to register themselves

  • For registration of Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2019, click on the link which will be provided on this page

  • In order to register, candidates need to enter the basic details such as name, NEET PG roll number, marks obtained in NEET PG 2019, personal details and others

  • After the registrations, aspirants have to fill their choices of colleges as well as courses as per their preferences

  • Applicants can choose as many as choices for admission to MD/MS and PG Diploma courses

  • Only candidates who will be included in the merit list of Maharashtra PG medical 2019 will be eligible for counselling

  • The seat allotment will be done on the basis of state merit rank, choices filled and seats available

  • Aspirants who will be granted admission are required to report at the colleges allotted to them for completion of admission along with the documents mentioned below

Documents to be carried for Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2019

Following are the documents to be furnished for verifications. Any aspirant without any of the document will not be allowed for admission.

  • Downloaded copy of application form

  • NEET PG admit card 2019

  • Photo ID proof (Aadhaar card/Driving License/PAN card/Passport)

  • NEET PG 2019 result

  • Secondary school certificate as a proof of nationality and date of birth

  • First, Second and Third MBBS mark sheets (Part I, II and III)

  • MBBS degree and pass certificate

  • Compulsory rotatory internship completion certificate

  • Registration certificate from Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC)

  • Certificate from head of institution from which candidate has passed MBBS exam indicating that institute is recognised by MCI

  • Undertaking of number of attempts of NEET PG

  • Copy of challan of Rs. 3000

  • Caste certificate, if applicable

  • PH certificate, if applicable

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2019 - Waiting List

Aspirants who will not be interested in taking admission to medical college allotted to them will be required to write an application to the concern authority. Such candidates will be placed with the aspirants included in Maharashtra PG medical waiting list and will be later considered for admission to vacant seats after the completion of rounds of counselling.


Maharashtra PG Medical 2019 Counselling: Round two

If the seats in the medical colleges remains vacant after the first round is completed. The second round of counselling of Maharashtra PG medical 2019 begins from first week of May. There are certain pre-conditions which must be fulfilled for admission, which are:

  • They were allotted a seat in round one but choose to get their course and college upgraded

  • They were put in the waiting list

Candidates who miss out any seats in round second will then be called for mop-up, in case of any vacant seats for Maharashtra PG medical 2019 counselling. Only those aspirants will be considered who belong to Maharashtra and have also qualified NEET PG 2019 and missed out on a seat in both round one and two.
