NEET College Predictor
ApplyKnow possible Govt/Private MBBS/BDS Colleges based on your NEET rank
Hello Bhavishya!
If cutoff remains similar to last year then you may get seat at least by the end of counselling process. Last year the cutoff for SC category for all rounds was around 318 category rank. Even a slight deviation won't affect the cutoff much.
Hope that helps!
Hi Bharath. congrats on getting this rank. but i am afraid that this wont be enough to secure a seat in jipmer.even if you get you might in jipmer karaikal only . whether it will be first round is something that cant be predicted in this case.
hope this helps
Hello Riccky
Coming to your question, well the ranks differ with respect to the two campuses. For the main campus i.e., JIPMER Pondicherry, the closing rank is 100±5 in UR CATEGORY. So, for OBC it will be around +50.
Once the seats for Pondicherry are filled, many students start opting out as most suffer from insecurities of admitting themselves to a new campus like JIPMER Karaikal. As a result, closing rank for Karaikal drops down to 300s in UR CATEGORY. +100 or +150 for OBC's.
Hello reader.
Fee structure for JIPMER PUDUCHERRY is as followed step wise.
Admission fee: one time payment which is 4000rs
Tution fee per annum: 1400rs
JIPMER student Association fee per annum: 2000rs
Miscellaneous fee per annum: 2000rs
Total fee structure per annum would be 5400rs.
Good luck

Admission to the MBBS course is done on the basis of JIPMER entrance examination. The application process, as well as the entrance examination, is conducted through online mode. Seats are reserved for OBC, ST, SC and NRI/ OCI category candidates as well as OPH candidates. You can find all the details related to admission on the official JIPMER website.
Hello
No you cant change the city once the application form is filled and submitted. JIPMER doesn’t provide any correction window for the rectification of any errors made in the application. Once the application is finally submitted and the application fee is paid, candidates will not be able to make any changes to the data provided in the application.
Thank You
Hello Sufyan,
The cutoff marks changes every year depending on various factors e.g. difficulty of exams, the total no. of students appeared, etc. Last year the cutoff marks for general category students was 161, 153 for OBC, 142 for SC and 123 and 144 for ST and NRI candidates respectively. So as per last years cutoff you need to score a minimum marks around these numbers to be eligible for counselling.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hello there.
As per the latest government rules, regulations, and guidelines it is impossible to get a medical seat of any related medical principle be it MBBS, BDS, BAMS or BMHs without writing NEET, AIIMS or JIPMER.
To get admission even in private colleges one will have to write the NEET examinations no matter what.
To prepare for Indian Medical entrance examination mentioned above the following books could be helpful.
Biology : NCERT, MTG NCERT at your fingertips
Chemistry: NCERT, NCERT exemplar, Vibrant Academy's Physical Chemistry by N Awasthy, Arihant Organic Chemistry by MS Chouhan
Physics: NCERT, NCERT exemplar, HC Verma, Arihant's Objective Physics by DC Pandey.
In all these examinations, the syllabus is usually very similar comprising of Class XI and Class XII studies of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Hope this helps.
All the best.
Hello Krishna,
You do not have chances of getting jipmer at this rank.
Being in general category, you need a rank around 155 to take admission in jipmer.
Good luck
