i have got 59 percentile in aiims so is ther any chance for me to get seat in any of aiims in india

Sweta Suman Student Expert 25th Jun, 2019

Hello..!!

The cut off is as follows for respective categories:

General category: 50 %

OBC -45%

SC and ST -40%

Seeing this you may qualify but the number of seats are very less ie 1200 in total,  Which means only top 2-3 percentile can get the seat.

So, I regret

I have 1243 OBC category rank in AIIMS 2019. Do I have any chance of getting into any AIIMS?

Ankita Behera 25th Jun, 2019

Hi,

With your rank and category you do stand a chance of getting a seat in one of the AIIMS as per last years cutoff.

AIIMS Delhi would be difficult but you can get in one of the other aiims.

Last year the closing ranks were:

Aiims, Bhopal-1516

Aiims, Patna-2048

In aiims counselling if i get a seat in 1st round and wish to participate in 2nd round,do i have to take admission in the 1st alloted colleg

Shivangi Student Expert 25th Jun, 2019

No, it’s not necessary to take admission in college allotted by 1st round. On allotment of college in the 1st round, you’ll be given four options to select in which two options will be like

1. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat

As there is increase in 900+ 600(ews) seat in all India quota and also 400 seats get increased in AIIMS . Then expected cutoff will be ?

ravi majithiya1171107822 Student Expert 30th Jun, 2019

The cutoff marks for the medical seats will change every year depending upon the number of students, the level of the exam and many other factors. Noe the thing is that increase in the medical seats does not clearly means that the cutoff will go down for the medical institutes.

Hey, Udit!

According to the previous year cut off trends, it is highly unlikely that you will get any AIIMS college with a rank of 5200. Aarjesh Rakshit 24th Jun, 2019

Hi Ritu

Your rank is really a very good one and your seat is almost confirmed in any one of the AIIMS. But most probably you won't get a seat in first round as many students (almost 85% ) attend the AIIMS counselling. But as soon as the respective state
