I would rather recommend percentile than Marks because percentile is a stable factor. For AIIMS, a rank with 1000 which corresponds to a percentile of 99.2 about and JIPMER within 200 rank, a percentile of 99.7 and above.

Percentile refers to you have scored more than how much percent of students. For eg there are 100 students, the topper stocking 100 percentile and you scoring 96 percentile. This means that the topper has score more than 100% other candidates i.e. All other candidates.

I would better recommend you to take test series from a reputed coaching institute like Allen, Aakash, Resonance etc because post 2014-15 AIIMS conducts exams online and the questions are not released in public domain.
