According to the criteria for AIIMS and other exams you should have completed at least 17 years in the year of appearing that is before December 2018. The candidates born after 2nd January 2018 are not eligible for the exams. Hope this will clear your doubt. If you are asking for the eligibility criteria, in NEET you need Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English. For general category you should score a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 and in JIPMER, For general category you should score a minimum of 50% marks in PCB subjects overall.
Apart from the above percentage requirement, there is no requirement in counselling process or admission. It only plays part in the eligibility process. Hope your query is solved now!
