First of all you should be having Anexure Certificate for apllying in Economically Weaker Sections category of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) and yes you have to submit your EWS certificate at the time of feeling application form for JIPMER.

JIPMER admits 150 students to the MBBS course once every year through an all-India entrance examination. Some seat are reserved for Puducherry natives and Central Government nominations.

Jipmer has only 2 branches. Pondicherry and Karaikal. And their seat intake capacity is only 200 seats. To increase any Medical college's seat intake, they should develop the infrastructure, facilities and send a proposal to Health Ministry. They will decide whether to increase seat intake or not. It depends on your choice only. But you can crack JIPMER exam on your own too. Make NCERT your priority, go through every chapter and its questions. Read it as much as you can. You can use some books which will give you an idea of the exam
