The NMC releases the NEET Chemistry syllabus. NEET UG Chemistry syllabus 2026 includes topics of classes 11 and 12 from inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. There are 20 Chemistry total chapters for NEET. The Chemistry section in NEET syllabus covers one-fourth of the total questions (25% weightage, i.e. 180 marks). The authority in 2024 deleted several topics from the Chemistry section of the NEET syllabus, and the same are not included in the 2026 NEET syllabus too. Some of the removed topics from NEET Chemistry syllabus are the Importance and scope of chemistry, Atomic number, isotopes and isobars. Concept of shells and subshells, dual nature of light, Third law of thermodynamics- Brief introduction, Cyanides and Isocyanides.

The authority has not removed Inorganic Chemistry from NEET 2026 syllabus for Chemistry.
