Have a question related to Pathology ?

Hello,

With a NEET PG rank of 167,000, getting MD Pathology or MS Surgery in a deemed university in Maharashtra is highly unlikely. The closing ranks for these courses in most deemed universities are much lower, usually under 130,000.

You can consider:

  • Trying for less-demanded branches like para-clinical or non-clinical courses in deemed or private colleges, where closing ranks are higher.

  • Taking a drop and reappearing next year to aim for a better rank, which can improve chances for Pathology or Surgery.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

With a 79,000 NEET PG rank General category, getting MD Pathology through AIQ Round 1 in top government colleges is unlikely, as most close by 30,000–50,000 ranks.

You may still get a seat in later rounds, state quota, or private/DNB colleges. Fill a broad choice list and keep backup options ready.

Hello,

To get admission in government-funded colleges for M.Sc. in Speech-Language Pathology , you need to appear for the AIISH Entrance Exam or All India Entrance Test conducted by NTA for the RCI-approved institutes .

Here are the main entrance exams:

  1. AIISH Entrance Exam – Conducted by the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru . It is one of the top government institutes in this field.

  2. NEET PG (for some institutes) – A few colleges may consider NEET PG scores, but most follow their own entrance exams.

  3. RCI-approved university entrance exams – Some universities like NIMHANS , PGIMER Chandigarh , and BHID Mumbai conduct their own entrance exams for this course.

If you want to study in top government colleges like AIISH Mysuru, NIMHANS Bengaluru, or PGIMER Chandigarh , you must appear for their respective entrance tests.

Hope it helps !

Hello
Yes, there are colleges/universities in India that offer M.Sc. or equivalent programmes. Some of the colleges are Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore. Shoolini University, Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Yashwant Singh parmar university of horticulture and forestry.  Kaveri University, Telangana.

If your category rank is 769, the chances of getting a seat in Plant Pathology depend on your category, total seats available, and cutoff trends. In ICAR AIEEA PG, Plant Pathology is a popular subject, so cutoff ranks are usually lower. Still, in later rounds, some seats do open up, giving you a fair chance. If you belong to SC, ST, or OBC categories, chances improve further compared to General. You should keep attending all rounds of counseling. Checking last year’s cutoff for your category will give you the best idea.
