AIIMS post basic nursing entrance exam pattern*:
The AIIMS post-basic nursing entrance exam typically includes:
- *Subjects*: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General English, and Nursing-related topics.
- *Exam format*: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- *Duration*: Usually 2–3 hours.
- *Sections*: Separate sections for science subjects and nursing knowledge.
Check the latest official AIIMS notification for exact pattern and syllabus details.
With a rank of around 25,686 in INI-CET and General category, the chances of getting AIIMS Microbiology are very low. In most counselling rounds, AIIMS seats (even for non-clinical branches like Microbiology) close at much better ranks. That said, counselling patterns can change slightly every year, so you should still participate in all rounds, including mop-up, if you’re eligible. Keep backup options open in other INIs or central institutes, and don’t rely only on AIIMS at this rank.
I know this is very disappointing but you can explore other options too.
Thankyou

Hello
Preparing for AIIMS B.Sc Nursing needs a focused and clean strategy. First, understand the exam pattern. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and GK all have equal weight, so you must study each daily. NCERT Class 11–12 books are your strongest resource, especially for Biology. Solve previous years’ papers to understand question style and speed.
Keep practising mock tests because the exam is fast (120 questions in 90 minutes). Stay consistent, revise regularly, and improve weak chapters each week for the best results.

Hello,
To prepare for the AIIMS MSc Biotechnology entrance exam, focus mainly on your BSc subjects such as Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Biotechnology. You should study standard reference books like Lehninger for Biochemistry, Kuby for Immunology, and Prescott for Microbiology. You can also download and practice previous AIIMS MSc Biotechnology papers to understand the pattern and difficulty level. Solving sample questions and giving mock tests regularly will help improve your speed and accuracy. A proper study plan, along with revision of important concepts and continuous practice, will increase your chances of scoring well in the exam
Hope this helps you.
Hello,
Based on previous INI-CET trends , a UR rank around 25,686 usually does not get a Microbiology seat in AIIMS institutes.
In most years, Microbiology in AIIMS closes at a much better (lower) rank for the unreserved category. Only the very last round in some years has gone close to this range, and even that is rare. Seats are few, and most AIIMS fill Microbiology well before this rank.
You may still keep hope for the open or mop-up rounds , as small movements can happen, but the chances remain low based on past data.
You can use our INI-CET College Predictor Tool to predict which colleges you can get based on your score and rank.
Hope it helps !
