DNB PDCET 2026: Dates, Application Form, Admit Card, Result, Counselling

Filling of the DNB PDCET 2026 application form is a six-step process that includes registration, filling of the application form, uploading of scanned images, choosing the test city, payment of application fee, and printing of the filled application form. All candidates, irrespective of their category, are required to pay Rs. 4,250 without taxes as the application fee for DNB PDCET.

All candidates applying for the entrance test must fulfil the DNB PDCET eligibility criteria 2026 as set by the exam conducting authority. The eligibility criteria of DNB PDCET 2026 reflect the basic pre-requisite conditions which must be met in order to be considered eligible to appear for the examination. The following are the eligibility criteria that the aspirants must fulfil. 

• Candidates must have passed the final exam for a postgraduate diploma from a recognised Indian university.

• Candidates must possess proof of having passed/passed the postgraduate diploma final examination on or before May 31, 2026.

The exam pattern of DNB PDCET 2026 acquaints the candidates with the details of the entrance exams like the duration, the number of questions, types of questions, etc. With the help of the DNB PDCET 2026 exam pattern candidates are required to formulate a solid strategy to crack the entrance test.  

NBE conducts the exam in computer-based mode, consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions with a single best answer. For every correct answer, candidates are awarded 4 marks and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The exam is conducted only in English medium. The syllabus of DNB PDCET 2026 is based on the MBBS exit level.

The exam conducting authority issues the DNB PDCET admit card 2026 for all the registered candidates. The admit card of DNB PDCET is a crucial document that reveals the designated test centres of the candidates. Candidates are required to carry the following documents to the examination centre to gain entry. Print out of DNB PDCET admit card 2026 to the exam centre along with

• A government-authorized ID proof like Voter ID, Passport, Driving License and PAN card   (in original) 
• A photocopy of permanent or provisional SMC/MCI registration. 

The result of DNB PDCET 2026 is announced in online mode, in the form of a merit list for 14 different specialities at natboard.edu.in. All candidates are given a rank in descending order of the marks obtained by them. Such candidates who qualify for the examination are then invited to participate in the online centralised counselling of DNB PDCET conducted by NBE.

Aspirants who clear the entrance test and fulfil the other eligibility criteria are eligible to participate in DNB PDCET counselling. Candidates who are included in the counselling results need to freeze the allotted seat and mandatorily have to download the DNB PDCET 2026 allotment letter for round one. Aspirants will have to report at the designated college along with documents for verification and the DNB PDCET admission process. After the completion of the admission process, the authorities will conduct the subsequent rounds of counselling of DNB PDCET 2026. 

Those candidates who will not register in the first round of counselling will not be allowed to participate in further rounds. After registration, candidates are required to fill preference of course and college for DNB PDCET admission. Candidates with merit positions will be allowed to fill their options/choices after remitting the required counselling fee of Rs 2500. Based on the choices given and the availability of seats, admission will be granted to specific specialities.
