कौस्तव बाउरी : मैं अभिभूत महसूस कर रहा हूँ, वास्तव में बहुत खुश हूँ। यह परिणाम मेरी उम्मीदों से भी परे था।
Careers360 : अपने बारे में हमें कुछ बताइए। आपने अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा कहाँ से पूरी की और साथ ही अपने परिवार के बारे में भी कुछ बताइए?
कौस्तव बाउरी : मैंने अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा आईआईटी मद्रास के केंद्रीय विद्यालय से पूरी की। मेरे पिता IIT मद्रास में प्रोफेसर हैं और मेरी माँ Accenture में HR लीड के रूप में काम करती हैं। यह एक कॉर्पोरेट कंपनी है। असल में मेरे माता-पिता ने इस लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने में मुझे काफी समर्थन दिया और विशेषकर मेरी मां, जो मुझे निरंतर 700 से अधिक अंक प्राप्त करने के प्रेरित करती रहीं। उसी का नतीजा है कि अंत में, नीट रिजल्ट में मैंने अपनी उम्मीदों के साथ-साथ उनकी उम्मीदों के भी ऊपर प्रदर्शन कर दिखाया।
Careers360 : आपको चिकित्सा को करियर के रूप में चुनने के लिए किस चीज ने प्रेरित किया? आपने डॉक्टर बनने का फैसला कब किया?
कौस्तव बाउरी : विज्ञान में मेरी रुचि इसका मुख्य कारण थी। इसके अलावा, आप जानते हैं कि मेरी मां ने मुझे चिकित्सा को करियर के रूप में चुनने के लिए प्रेरणा और अनुनय दिया। इसलिए 11वीं कक्षा में मैंने आकाश में मेडिकल कोचिंग करने का फैसला किया।
Careers360 : यह देखते हुए कि इतना व्यस्त कार्यक्रम है, ऐसे में आपने इसे कैसे मैनेज किया?
कौस्तव बाउरी : मुझे कब पढ़ना चाहिए और कब नहीं पढ़ना चाहिए, इसको लेकर मैंने कोई निश्चित शेड्यूल नहीं बनाया था। मेरा मतलब है, मैं जब चाहता था तब पढ़ाई करता था, लेकिन इस दौरान मैं ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ाई करता था। मैं अपना ध्यान अन्य चीजों की ओर नहीं ले जाना चाहता, इसलिए मैंने इस दौरान पूरी कोशिश ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ाई करने को लेकर की।
Careers360 : सबसे चुनौतीपूर्ण विषय कौन से थे या आपने इसमें महारत हासिल करने में आने वाली कठिनाइयों को कैसे दूर किया?
कौस्तव बाउरी : पहले प्रोजेक्ट में कुछ दिक्कतें आईं, मुझे 11वीं में 12वीं के सिलेबस को पूरा करने के बाद नीट सिलेबस को भी कवर करना पड़ा। हालांकि, बैकलॉग आदि को लेकर कहूँ तो ऐसा कोई विशेष विषय नहीं था जो मुझे कठिन लगा हो, लेकिन जिस विषय को लेकर मुझे सबसे ज्यादा मेहनत करनी पड़ी थी, वो फिजिक्स था।

Careers360 : तैयारी के समय के दौरान क्या आपने आत्म-संदेह का भी सामना किया, यदि हां, तो इस दौरान किस चीज ने आपको अपने लक्ष्य पर दोबारा ध्यान केंद्रित करने के लिए प्रेरित किया?
कौस्तव बाउरी : हां, कुछ मॉक टेस्ट में उम्मीद अनुसार अंक प्राप्त नहीं होने पर, थोड़ी निराशा जरूर हुई थी, लेकिन मेरे शिक्षकों और माता-पिता ने इस दौरान मुझे हिम्मत दी और समझाया कि अंत में सब ठीक हो जाएगा। इस दौरान स्वयं से भी खुद को प्रेरित करना पड़ा कि यदि सही मेहनत की जाए तो उसका फल जरूर मिलेगा। इसलिए मैंने हार नहीं मानी, मेहनत करता रहा और अंत में मुझे इसका परिणाम भी मिला।
Careers360 : अपने अकादमिक अध्ययन के अलावा, क्या आप अन्य गतिविधियों में भी हिस्सा लेते थे या सीधे शब्दों में कहें तो तैयारी के समय में आपका कोई हॉबी थी?
कौस्तव बाउरी : मैं शतरंज खेलता हूं, मैं बाहर जाकर फुटबॉल, बैडमिंटन जैसे खेल खेलता था।
Careers360 : आपने नीट विषयों के कुछ टॉपिक्स को कैसे प्राथमिकता दी?
कौस्तव बाउरी : मैंने कवर किए जाने वाले टॉपिक्स को समय के अनुसार विभिन्न हिस्सों में विभाजित किया। इसे ऐसे समझें कि मैंने लक्ष्य यूँ बनाए कि इस महीने तक मुझे मानव शरीर विज्ञान पूरा करना है या मई के अंत तक अकार्बनिक रसायन विज्ञान को कवर कर लेना है। इसलिए मैंने छोटे-छोटे लक्ष्य निर्धारित किए और फिर उन्हें पूरा करने की कोशिश की।
Careers360 : आपकी परीक्षा के दिन की रणनीति क्या थी? आपके अनुसार सबसे कठिन और सबसे आसान सेक्शन कौन-सा था?
कौस्तव बाउरी : ज्यादातर, ऐसा होता है कि भले ही पढ़ाई अच्छे तरीके से भी की गई हो, फिर भी परीक्षा का डर बना रहता है। ऐसे में नीट परीक्षा से लगभग एक महीने पहले, आकाश बायजू ने नीट मॉक टेस्ट की एक श्रृंखला आयोजित की, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप मेरे मन से परीक्षा का डर पूरी तरह से निकल गया। यही वजह है कि परीक्षा के दिन मैं बहुत हल्का महसूस कर रहा था और इसका मुझे फायदा भी मिला।

कौस्तव बाउरी : मेरा ड्रीम कॉलेज एम्स नई दिल्ली है। भविष्य में मैं ऑन्कोलॉजी को चुनूंगा। हम सब जानते हैं कि कैंसर एक खतरनाक बीमारी है, ऐसे में उसके लिए और भी अधिक प्रारंभिक निदान तकनीक विकसित करना चाहता हूँ।

कौस्तव बाउरी : तैयारी के लिहाज से, आदर्श रूप से उन्हें कोई बैकलॉग नहीं छोड़ना चाहिए। यदि वे अभी भी हैं, तो फिलहाल आप जो जानते हैं उसे और मजबूत करें और इसके बाद बैकलॉग को कवर करें। इसके अलावा जहां तक शुरूआती तैयारी की बात है, तो उन्हें एनसीईआरटी पाठ्यपुस्तकों को ध्यानपूर्वक कवर करना चाहिए क्योंकि वे इस परीक्षा में काफी महत्वपूर्ण साबित होती हैं।
वहीं प्रश्नों का नियमित अभ्यास भी काफी जरूरी है। हो सके तो परीक्षा नजदीक आने पर मॉक टेस्ट देते रहें। मॉक टेस्ट देकर आप जान सकते हैं कि आप कहां गलतियां कर रहे हैं और किन क्षेत्रों पर अभी भी ध्यान देने की जरूरत है।

First, understand the NEET syllabus clearly for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Focus only on the NCERT syllabus, as most NEET questions are directly or indirectly based on NCERT, especially in Biology and Chemistry. Avoid unnecessary reference books at this stage.
Divide your 4 months into phases. In the first 2 months, focus on completing the entire syllabus. Study Biology daily, as it carries the highest weightage. Read NCERT Biology line by line, make short notes, and revise regularly. For Chemistry, give priority to NCERT for Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. Practice basic numericals and reactions consistently. In Physics, focus on understanding concepts and practicing standard questions rather than memorizing formulas.
In the third month, start intensive revision along with topic-wise and full-length mock tests. Analyze each test carefully to identify weak areas and work on them. Improve time management and accuracy during this phase.
In the last month, focus mainly on revision and mock tests. Revise NCERT multiple times, especially Biology diagrams, tables, and examples. Avoid learning new topics at the last moment. Maintain a proper sleep schedule and take short breaks to avoid burnout.

Scoring 600+ marks in NEET within 4 months is definitely challenging, especially if you are starting almost from scratch, but it is not impossible. It largely depends on your discipline, daily study hours, clarity of basics, and how smartly you plan your preparation.
First, you need to be very realistic and focused. In 4 months, your main goal should be to strengthen NCERT-based concepts rather than trying to study everything in extreme detail. NEET questions are largely NCERT-oriented, especially in Biology and Chemistry. If you can master NCERT thoroughly, your chances improve significantly.
Biology should be your top priority because it carries the maximum weightage and is comparatively scoring. Read NCERT line by line for both Class 11 and 12. Revise multiple times and practice MCQs daily. Even if Physics feels tough initially, focus on high-weightage and formula-based chapters like Modern Physics, Current Electricity, Semiconductors, Ray Optics, and Laws of Motion. Chemistry can be divided smartly: give more time to Organic and Inorganic NCERT, and practice numericals regularly for Physical Chemistry.
You should ideally study 10–12 focused hours daily with a fixed timetable. Daily revision and weekly full-length mock tests are extremely important. Initially, your mock scores may be low, but what matters is consistent improvement and learning from mistakes. Analyze each test carefully to understand weak areas.
Since you are already enrolled in another college, time management becomes even more important. Try to minimize distractions and use early mornings or late evenings effectively. Avoid too many reference books; stick to NCERT and one reliable question bank.
That said, aiming for 600+ in 4 months is ambitious and depends on your learning speed and consistency. Even if you fall slightly short, a strong score improvement can still open opportunities in government or private colleges depending on category and cutoff trends.
