Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gujarat is the authority will release the MBBS 2026 seat matrix for state quota counselling. The 2026 seat matrix for Gujarat MBBS is approved by NMC, based on which the seats are granted. According to the latest data from NMC, the total number of Gujarat MBBS seats is about 7,100. Among the total of 7,100 seats, 2,900 are in private colleges and 4,200 are available in government colleges.
To get admission in the list of MBBS colleges in Gujarat, candidates must qualify NEET UG 2026 exam with a minimum qualifying cutoff score. The NEET UG is conducted for granting admission into MBBS, BDS, BVSc and AH, AYUSH courses across India. The Gujarat MBBS counselling is conducted by ACPUGMEC, Gujarat for admission into 85% of state quota seats. The remaining 15% All India Quota seats (AIQ) are filled through the Medical Counselling Committee. The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC) conducts the Gujarat NEET UG counselling. NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the Gujarat MBBS counselling 2026. To participate in Gujarat MBBS counselling 2026, candidates are required to register themselves by purchasing a PIN online and undergo document verification. After verification, authorities release the Gujarat NEET merit list, mentioning the names of candidates shortlisted for online counselling. Candidates whose names are included in the seat allotment list will have to report to the allotted college within the stipulated time and date.
