The admission to these MBBS seats in UP is given through the 15% AIQ and 85% state quota counselling, which is conducted by MCC and Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh respectively. The Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh conducts the UP NEET UG counselling for the 85% state quota seats. The remaining 15% of AIQ seats are filled through the MCC NEET UG counselling. The NEET qualified candidates are eligible to appear in the counselling for UP MBBS admissions. To participate in the UP counselling, aspirants have to register for the counselling. The UP MBBS counselling is done based on scores obtained by the candidates in the NEET exam.
