How much do i need to score in NEET 2020 to get admission in a good college if I belong to SC category in Uttar Pradesh. Do I hold any reservation in AFMC Pune since my Father served Indian Army for 9 years and is a Martyr now?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 21st Jan, 2020
Simran, we do not have 2019 data yet. But in 2018, under State Quota, 472 marks secured a seat in GMC Jalaun under SC Category. That has been the cut off. Now this is 2019 data and cut offs chamge every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. In 2019, UP cut offs have gone way higher increasing almost by 60-75 marks on an average. Now with that in mind, you should atleast target 550 for a seat in a GMC even with SC reservation. And regarding reservation at AFMC, there is no Ex-servicemen Quota.

I have 50 marks English i.e.,Alternative English in Bihar board am i eligible for neet 2020?

Aditya kumar Student Expert 21st Jan, 2020
Hello there!
Greetings!

Your marks in English is not considered to decide your eligibility for neet examination , to be eligible for Neet examination you need to be at least pass in your English examination. So , your 50 marks in English is not a problem at all for you

It is your aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology that is considered.
To be eligible for Neet you need to get at least 50 percent aggregate in pcb if you belong to general category while it is only 40 percent in pcb required for obc, sc or st category.
So if you fulfil this then yes you are eligible for neet examination even if you have got 50 marks only in your English.

Also to be eligible for Neet 2020 you need to be at least 17 years old by December 31st 2020.

I hope that it helps you
Thankyou

last selection marks of neet of sc category in gov college

Aditya kumar Student Expert 21st Jan, 2020
Hello Mandeep.

You haven't mentioned the state you belong to dear.
If I tell you about bihar,  then in neet 2018 the lowest marks that fetched a seat in government medical college for sc category was 429 marks and it was for Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences, Pawapuri, Nalanda.

But cut off marks for Medical Colleges keeps changing every year depending upon several factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks scored by students, toughness level of exam etc.

So if you belong to sc category and want to get into government medical college then you should target at least  500 marks.  Also more is your marks, better is the college you get.

I hope that it helps you
Thankyou
