J & K MBBS Counselling 2018 –
The conducting authority of J & K MBBS 2018 counselling, Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) conducted the mop-up round of counselling on August 5, 2018 and the result of the same has been released. If the seats remain vacant after the mop-up round of counselling the same will be notified after August 10. The second round of counselling was conducted from July 25 to July 27 and the result was released on the day of the conduction of the counselling. Unlike the first round, the round two and mop-up round of J & K MBBS counselling was held in offline mode which implies that the candidates were required to be physically present at the allotted centre. The result of round one of J & K MBBS counselling 2018 was released on July 6, 2018 and can be checked here. The board started the counselling process with the mock round on June 24, 2018. The first round of counselling was held from June 26 to July 1, 2018. The counselling for J & K NEET MBBS 2018 was online wherein candidates were required to fill in their preferences.

J & K MBBS 2018 counselling mainly has two rounds followed by one final round of counselling for the vacant seats. The counselling of J & K MBBS 2018 was held for the 100% state quota seats which include 500 medical and 200 dental seats in the various government and private colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. The candidates are required to upload the documents in order to be included in the provisional state merit list. Only those candidates whose names have been included in the state merit list released by the conducting authority were eligible to participate in the J & K MBBS 2018 counselling sessions. The students will be admitted to various courses/colleges through J & K MBBS counselling 2018 based on their preferences and their merit which is based on the NEET score. It is, therefore, advisable on the part of the candidates to fill in their preferences based on their Score of NEET UG.

The result of the mop-up round of counselling was declared on the day of the conduction of the counselling process. The result has been made available in online mode while the counselling was conducted in offline mode. Jammu and Kashmir MBBS BDS Counselling - Mop-Up Round

The mop-up round of counselling was conducted on August 5 in offline mode. The number of seats available was notified by the participating colleges. As per the DCI regulations, an additional mop-up round of counselling will be conducted after the first mop-up round of counselling if the seats remain vacant. Jammu and Kashmir MBBS BDS Counselling Round 2 - Result

The result of the second round of counselling has been released. The result has been released in the form of the seat allotment list in online mode. The candidates allotted seats must report at the colleges on or before July 31, 2018, till 4.30 PM. Candidates must ensure they have the requisite documents at the time of reporting at the allotted college. The result has been made available here in PDF format.

Jammu and Kashmir MBBS BDS Counselling - Round 2

The second round of Jammu and Kashmir MBBS counselling 2018 started, as per the schedule, on July 25, 2018. The counselling was conducted at the Board Office Jammu/Srinagar. The last date of Jammu and Kashmir MBBS 2018 counselling is July 27, 2018. Candidates who were allotted seats in the first round of counselling but did not join the allotted college were eligible to compete against the government seats. In addition, 23 newly registered candidates can also participate in the counselling process. Eligible candidates must report at 9.00 AM and deposit a fee of INR 1,500/-.

Jammu and Kashmir MBBS BDS Counselling Result - Round 1

The result of the counselling has been released on July 6, 2018. The result released was provisional, therefore, the candidates were given time till July 8 up to 5.00 pm to challenge the result. In accordance with the notice, the board received the challenges and necessary changes have been made to the provisional seat allotment list. The seat allotment list published on July 6 included 655 candidates and as per the notice released on July 8, five candidates are added in the list. This implies in the first round of counselling 660 candidates are allotted seats for the total 700 seats available in the state.

J & K NEET MBBS BDS Counselling 2018 – Highlights

  • Counselling for J & K MBBS BDS 2018 was conducted in online mode.

  • The candidates who obtained the minimum percentile required in the NEET 2018 exam and attended the document verification session were listed in the provisional state merit list released by the authorities.

  • The candidates included in the Annexure of A of J & K MBBS merit list 2018 were required to fill in the online preference/application form in order to participate in the counselling process.

  • J & K MBBS 2018 counselling will majorly be conducted in two rounds followed by one final round for the vacant seats. The candidates selected after each round of counselling will be published by the conducting authority for J & K MBBS 2018.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round of J & K MBBS counselling 2018 can apply for choice upgradation in the next round but will have to surrender the previously allotted seats. Such candidates will be allotted seats based upon their new choices.

  • The final round of counselling for J & K MBBS 2018 will be conducted for the vacant seats for only those candidates whose names are included in the state merit list but were not allotted seats in any of the previous rounds.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats in the upgradation round of J & K MBBS counselling 2018 but were absent or candidates who did not produce valid certificates at the time of document verification or later within the stipulated time will not be considered for the final round.

Procedure for J & K MBBS BDS Counselling 2018 - Round 1

  • The candidates included in the provisional state merit list will have to log in to the official website of J & K MBBS admission 2018.

  • Candidates are required to fill in the online preference form by providing all the relevant details.

  • The list of institutes will be displayed and the candidates can select among them. All the details of the disciplines and colleges participating in counselling for J & K MBBS 2018 will also be available.

  • The candidates can choose as many options as they want according to their order of preference. There is also an option of deleting and rearranging of options.

  • Candidates participating in the J & K MBBS 2018 counselling are permitted to conduct a mock exercise of filling up of the preferences and this shall be available until the time as may be notified by the BOPEE.

  • Candidates are required to fill up at least one preference for a discipline/college while filling up the preference form of J & K MBBS counselling 2018, else they would not be able to proceed further.

  • Candidates need to click on the lock/submit button after they are satisfied with their choices within the provided time or the choices will be automatically locked.

  • It should be noted that candidates participating in the Counselling of J & K MBBS 2018 can modify and save the choices as many times but lock only once.

  • Result for each round will be published after counselling session for that round is over. Candidates can take print out of the same for future reference.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats through J & K MBBS 2018 counselling will have to report to the allotted college with all the relevant documents for taking admission.
