MP NEET MBBS Counselling 2018 – Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh has released the list of candidates who have been allotted seats through the second round of MP MBBS 2018 counselling. The process of counselling for MP MBBS 2018 resumed with the process of online resignation for the first round from August 2 to August 4, 2018 (5.00 pm). Candidates who were allotted seats in the first round of MP MBBS counselling 2018 but opted for choice upgradation or those who had not been allotted seats in the first round could participate in the second round on online choice filling and locking. Candidates who are wither domicile or non-domicile of the state, both could participate in the second round of MP MBBS 2018 counselling but the preference was given to the candidates with state domicile. The dates for the second round of MP MBBS counselling 2018 were August 6 to August 9, 2018 (4.00 PM).

The counselling for MP MBBS 2018 was earlier put on hold as per the interim order of Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench on July 20, 2019. Admissions through the first round of MP MBBS counselling 2018 has been extended till July 27, 2018. MP MBBS 2018 counselling was held from June 27 to June 30, 2018, in the online mode. The seat allotment lists after the first round of counselling of MP MBBS 2018 were released on July 8, 2018. The merit list of candidates included for counselling for MP MBBS 2018 was released on June 26, 2018. There will be three rounds of MP MBBS counselling 2018 and an additional round in case if any seats are left vacant. 

 

The counselling is conducted for the 85% state quota seats which include 1750 seats in medical and 1164 seats in dental colleges. MP MBBS counselliing 2018 is conducted for the government and the private colleges. Candidates were required to fill in the application form of MP MBBS 2018 in order to be eligible for the counselling sessions.  Only the candidates whose names have been mentioned in the merit list of MP MBBS 2018 published by the DME are eligible to attend the counselling process. Admissions through MP MBBS 2018 counselling will consider both the choices of the candidates during the process of online MP NEET MBBS counselling 2018 and merit. The merit is determined by the score obtained by the candidates in the NEET UG. Candidates should thus give their preferences according to the NEET score.

The list for the second round of MP MBBS 2018 seat allotment has been released by DME. The seat allotment lists of MP MBBS BDS 2018 were released on July 8, 2018. Separate lists have been released for the government and the private colleges as well as for MBBS and BDS courses.

Counselling Schedule for MP MBBS 2017 candidates of R.K.D.F Medical College

As per the interim orders of the Supreme Court, admission of 150 students to the MBBS course in R.K.D.F medical college in the year 2017-18 stands cancelled. These students, however, were permitted to take admission in the other six private medical colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh and their academic year would be considered 2018 onwards. A revised counselling schedule and procedure was announced for these 150 students, the details of which are provided below.

Highlights of MP MBBS BDS Counselling 2018

  • The counselling for MP MBBS BDS 2018 is conducted online.

  • Candidates needed to fill in the MP MBBS BDS application form 2018 in order to be eligible for MP MBBS counselling 2018.

  • The conducting authority had published the merit list of MP MBBS BDS 2018 containing the names of all the candidates had filled up the application form and secure the qualifying percentile in the NEET 2018 examination.

  • Admission to MP MBBS BDS 2018 will be on the basis of the NEET UG 2018 score as well as the preferences of the candidates opted for during MP MBBS BDS counselling 2018.

MP MBBS BDS Counselling 2018 Procedure

  • Candidates need to log in to the portal where they have filled up the MP MBBS application form 2018.

  • Candidates need to click n the ‘choice filling’ button present on the left side of the window.

  • The list of medical and dental colleges participating in MP MBBS BDS 2018 counselling will pop-up.

  • Candidates need to check the boxes in front of the given college list according to their order of preference for MP MBBS 2018.

  • The order of preference selected by the candidates through the counselling of MP MBBS BDS 2018 will appear in the ‘Selected Preference Box’

  • Candidates will also be able to change the order of the preference given in the Selected Preference Box by using up/down arrow buttons and bring the choices of MP MBBS BDS 2018 to the desired positions.

  • Candidates need to select 'Submit List of Preferences' button to confirm their selection of preference.

  • Candidates must fill maximum choices during MP MBBS 2018 counselling so that the possibility of college allotment will be maximum.

  • Candidates can save their choices by clicking on the ‘save preference’ button and proceed to lock the choices.

  • The candidates can add, modify, change, remove, and re-order the choices before proceeding for payment of the counselling fee by clicking on ‘change college preference’

  • Candidates will not be able to alter the choices once the payment of the fee has been done. The fee for counselling of MP MBBS BDS 2018 is 100 INR.

  • After making the payment of the application fee, candidates need to take a print-out of their choices locked for MP MBBS BDS counselling 2018.
