Odisha NEET MBBS Counselling 2018 – The conducting body of Odisha MBBS 2018 Counselling is Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) cell. The dates for the spot round of counselling for Odisha MBBS 2018 have been announced and is scheduled to be held on August 20, 2018. The second round of Odisha MBBS counselling 2018 was held from August 10 to August 11, 2018, in the online mode. Odisha MBBS counselling 2018 was earlier put on hold until the All India Quota counselling by Medical Counselling Committee was over. The first round Odisha MBBS BDS 2018 counselling started on July 1, 2018, wherein candidates were required to participate in choice filling and locking. Odisha MBBS BDS counselling 2018 was conducted in online mode.

There are two rounds of Odisha NEET MBBS 2018 counselling and a mop-up round will be conducted if seats are left vacant. The state merit list which reflects the candidates who are eligible for the counselling process was released on June 30, 2018. The seat allotment after the first round of Odisha MBBS counselling 2018 was released on July 4, 2018, while the list of candidates admitted to MBBS/BDS course was released on July 13, 2018. 

Only those candidates whose names appear in the merit list published by OJEE are eligible to attend Odisha MBBS Counselling 2018. The counselling is conducted for 85% State Quota seats which include 950 seats in medical colleges and 150 seats in dental colleges. Odisha MBBS BDS 2018 counselling is conducted for both Government and Private Medical and Dental colleges. The candidates were required to fill the application form of Odisha MBBS BDS 2018 released on June 20, 2018, and attend the document verification session to be eligible for the counselling sessions.

The admission is taken on the merit-cum-preference basis wherein for merit, NEET UG 2018 score is considered and for preference, the choices given by the candidate during Odisha MBBS counselling 2018 are considered. The candidates are advised to give preferences according to their NEET UG 2018 score.

  • Odisha MBBS BDS 2018 counselling is conducted in online mode.

  • The admission to MBBS/BDS in Odisha is taken on the merit-cum-preference basis. The candidates are advised to choose institutes according to their score in NEET 2018.

Odisha MBBS Counselling 2018 – Procedure

  • The candidates must log in again on the online portal where they have filled Odisha MBBS application form 2018.

  • The candidates who are eligible for the counselling sessions have a list of institutes on their online portal.

  • The list is displayed on the left side. The candidates can select institutes and move it to the right side.

  • The candidates can delete, interchange and rearrange the options.

  • The candidates can choose any number of institutes on their list.

  • The candidates are required to lock their final choices otherwise the choices they have made earlier will be locked automatically.

  • The candidates must note that they can save the choices as many times as they want but they can only lock their choices once.

  • The result is published after the counselling session is over.

  • The candidates who are allotted a seat at any medical or dental college can take provisional Odisha MBBS admission 2018 by submitting the required documents at the OJEE cell centre, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar.

  • Transfer Certificate (School leaving certificate).

  • A demand draft in favour of “OJEE 2018” payable at Bhubaneswar.

  • Allotment letter.

  • Medical fitness certificate.

  • ID Proof (Aadhar Card/Voter Card/Passport/Driving License), Secondary School Certificate, Class 12 pass certificate and Caste certificate  (if applicable) will be verified at the time of document verification.
