West Bengal MBBS BDS Counselling Process 2017
The State of West Bengal merit list as per applied and verified candidate NEET All India rank will be prepared and published after 6 pm of July 19, 2017. Separate list for state quota and private college management quota will be provided.
The Counselling for West Bengal MBBS Admissions 2017 will include following steps-
1. Online application, confirmation of category, domicile and online fee payment
2. Physical verification of documents
3. Registration and choice filling
4. Process of seat allotment in round 1
5. Round 1 result publication
6. Reporting for admission at the allotted medical/dental college against 1st round
7.Fresh choice filling of round 2
8. Process of seat allotment - round 2
9. Round 2 result publication
10. Reporting for admission at the allotted medical/dental college against round 2
11. Publication of net vacant seats

Following things are required to be informed by the candidates in pre-counselling, who have qualified through NEET 2017-
Domicile status of the candidate
Caste status of the candidate
Physically challenged status
All applicants must have have passed in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and English individually with UR candidates must obtain 50% marks taken together Physics, Chemistry and Biology; with PH candidates 45% or above; for ST/SC/OBC A or OBC B candidates 40% or above.
After the above information is furnished, if the candidate is eligible for fee payment then he/she will be directed to the online payment gateway where he/she can pay the one time non-refundable pre-counselling and counselling fee online only through credit card/debit card or net banking facilities.
Counselling fee online Rs.2000 for unreserved category candidates or Rs.1500 for ST/SC/OBC A/OBC B/PH candidates (bank transaction cost extra)
Candidates are required to go for physical verification at RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata or Medical College, Kolkata or IPGMER, Kolkata as indicated in the printout taken after online payment by the candidate.
Documents (in original and self-attested photocopy) required during West Bengal MBBS Counselling-
Voter card/Aadhar card/passport of parent/s (if applicable)
Caste certificate as applicable
PH certificate issued from IPGMER Kolkata as applicable
Proof of payment of counselling fee
Age proof (should be 17 years by December 31, 2017)
Class 10+2 mark sheet
The verification process will be from July 13 to 15 and from July 17 to 21 from 9 am till 4 pm at the concerned institutes.
