Careers360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
Shiya Kaushal: My name is Shiya Kaushal, and I am from Punjab district nawashehr. I have completed my senior secondary education from the state board in the year of 2022 and now I am pursuing BMRIT (Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology) at GNA University .
Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
Shiya Kaushal: Currently I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology. I am in the final year of my course.

Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
Shiya Kaushal: Initially, it took some time to adjust in the new academic environment but the faculty members and my classmates were very supportive and helpful which made my transition quite smooth.
Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
Shiya Kaushal: The university organises cultural events, sports competitions, technical workshops, seminars, and various student clubs . I have actively participated in the seminars , workshops and some sports competitions. Other than this there are Cultural Clubs, Photography clubs, finance clubs and many more however I haven't joined any clubs at University yet.

Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Shiya Kaushal: My day starts with getting ready for college and attending lectures and practical classes. During breaks, I spend time with my friends or study in the library. After classes, I complete assignments, revise my subjects, and do some walking to keep my mind fresh.
Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
Shiya Kaushal: The ratio of faculty – students here are quite reasonable and the teachers are very approachable, always willing to help, try to adapt new techniques to teach and to keep the fun of teaching alive moreover they encourage students to ask questions, doubts without any hesitation. They provide guidance of both academically and professionally.
Careers360: What all facilities do you have in the campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?
Shiya Kaushal: The campus has modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a library, sports facilities, cafeterias, Wi-Fi, and transportation services. I particularly appreciate the practical laboratories because they enhance our learning experience.
Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
Shiya Kaushal: I am a day scholar so I have not stayed in a university hostel. However, what I heard from my friends, the hostel facilities are comfortable and well maintained.
Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Shiya Kaushal: The university provides basic medical assistance and emergency support whenever required, ensuring the health and safety of students and the students can avail the required medical attention moreover in the case of specialised treatment the student is referred to nearby hospital.
Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?
Shiya Kaushal: I maintain a daily schedule and prioritise my academic responsibilities. This helps me to manage my studies while participating in university activities whenever possible.
Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students point of view?
Shiya Kaushal: The clubs and the societies provide opportunities to develop leadership, communication skills, creativity and teamwork. They also make campus life more fun and enjoyable.
Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?
Shiya Kaushal: Yes the university publishes departmental newsletters, and it also has an academic publication called GNA Journal of Management and Technology. These highlight the campus events, research activities and students achievements.
Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?
Shiya Kaushal: Students usually spend their free time at the cafeteria, food court, coffee shops, central lawns and common sitting areas. There are many places on campus where students can relax, have meals and spend their free time. Nearby the campus, students often visit Phagwara city for shopping.
Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time at the campus?
Shiya Kaushal: I usually spend my free time with my friends in the food court or in central lawn. Sometimes we visit the library too.
Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?
Shiya Kaushal: Although I do personally use Facebook, GNA university has official social media platforms where students can stay updated about campus activities, events or workshops. Many students on personal blogs do share about the campus life on several social media platforms.

Shiya Kaushal: Healthcare organisations, multispecialty hospitals, diagnostic centres, imaging centres, and medical equipment companies participate in campus recruitment at GNA University. Depending on the course, companies may recruit students for roles in radiology, laboratory technology, nursing, and other healthcare fields.
