AIIMS Paramedical Counselling Process 2026

The AIIMS paramedical counselling process 2026 consists of online choice filling, seat allotment, seat acceptance, and reporting at the allotted institute.

Step 1: Online Choice Filling

Eligible candidates can access the online seat allocation portal after logging into their candidate dashboard. Candidates have to select their preferred combinations of AIIMS institute and subject/speciality.

There is no limit on the number of choices that can be filled. Candidates can edit and reorder their preferences until the choice filling deadline. After the last date, the choices will either be locked by the candidate or automatically locked by the system. Candidates who do not participate in Round 1 choice filling will not be considered for either the first or second round of seat allocation.

Step 2: AIIMS Paramedical Seat Allotment 2026

The AIIMS Paramedical seat allotment 2026 is prepared on the basis of:

• Candidate's merit rank

• Eligibility criteria

• Institute and course preferences filled during counselling

• Availability of seats

The Round 2 seat allotment is prepared using the choices submitted during Round 1. Candidates are not allowed to modify their preferences after the Round 1 choice filling window closes.

Step 3: Online Acceptance of Allotted Seat

Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 must log in to the counselling portal and choose one of the following options within the prescribed period:

Option 1

Accept the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allocation.

Option 2

Accept the allotted seat and participate in Round 2 for seat upgradation.

If a candidate chooses Option 2 and receives an upgraded seat in Round 2, the previously allotted seat will be cancelled automatically and allotted to another eligible candidate according to merit.

Candidates who fail to join the allotted or upgraded seat after opting for participation in Round 2 will be liable to pay a penalty of Rs. 1 lakh. The brochure also states that there is no option to refuse an allotted seat, therefore candidates should fill their choices carefully. Failure to log in and select an option after seat allotment will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat and make the candidate ineligible for further rounds, except the Open Round (if conducted).

Step 4: Reporting and Document Verification

Candidates allotted seats must report in person to the allotted AIIMS institute within the specified reporting period, irrespective of whether they choose Option 1 or Option 2. At the time of reporting, candidates are required to:

• Submit original certificates or deposit Rs. 1 lakh, as specified in the seat allotment notification.

• Complete document verification.

• Fulfil all admission formalities within the prescribed deadline.

AIIMS Paramedical Counselling 2026 Reservation Guidelines

Candidates claiming reservation under SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or PwBD categories must produce valid certificates during reporting. OBC and EWS certificates must be valid for admission to Central Government institutions. PwBD candidates must undergo disability verification by the Medical Board of the allotted AIIMS.

If a candidate fails to produce a valid reservation certificate, the reserved seat claim will be cancelled and the candidate will be considered under the applicable category as per AIIMS rules.
