Bihar BSc Nursing 2027 Important Topics and Chapter-wise Weightage: Bihar BSc Nursing is the state-level entrance exam for nursing seats in Bihar. This exam is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). It has no aptitude or general knowledge section. It tests only Physics, Chemistry and Biology, each in its own paper of 100 questions. The complete overview is on the Bihar BSc Nursing exam page. With three full science papers, the useful question is not "What is in the syllabus?" but "Which chapters actually get asked?"

The board does not publish chapter-wise weightage or the question papers. So we built our own data. We classified every distinct question in the 2025 and 2024 memory-based papers into chapter groups and counted them. The ranges below are our estimates from that count, not board figures, and the method is explained so you can judge them.
The 2026 exam was held on 30 and 31 May 2026. No 2027 notification has been published yet. Keep checking the syllabus page and the board's notice.
We counted 217 distinct questions: 131 Biology, 66 Chemistry and 20 Physics. Questions repeated in the recalled papers were counted once. The 2024 paper had no Physics questions in our material, so Physics rests on 2025 alone. We left out the 2016 paper because it follows an older pattern that included Maths. These are recalled papers, so none is complete. The ranges show estimated questions out of 100 per paper.

Together, the three plant groups make up 31% of the sample, almost as much as human physiology and animals combined (32%). Specific repeats worth knowing: five 2025 questions on air and water pollutants, gymnosperm classes asked twice in 2024, slime moulds twice in 2025, and several on respiration and the TCA cycle. We gave human reproduction a wider range than its sample count, because the syllabus lists it.
In chemistry, inorganic is bigger than most students expect.
Add the four inorganic rows and inorganic takes about 55% of the sample. Coordination compounds alone had nine questions across the two years: magnetic moment, hybridisation, colour, isomerism and oxidation state. Acidic and basic oxides came up in both years (most acidic oxide, most basic oxide, Cl₂O₇, Mn₂O₇). Biomolecules were steady too: amino acids, vitamins, nucleic acid linkage and mutarotation. Many answers are direct facts, so short daily revision of inorganic facts pays off.
In physics, go through electricity and magnetism first.
Twenty questions are a small sample, so these ranges are the widest and least reliable in this article. Heat and thermodynamics did not appear at all, which does not mean they will not. Treat the table as an order of study, not as a reason to drop a chapter. The 2025 Physics questions were mostly numerical (alternating current with a resistor and capacitor, potential difference from an electric field, power from climbing stairs), so practise calculations.
Spend time in proportion. Human physiology, organic and inorganic Chemistry, and electricity and magnetism come first.
Revise facts daily. A large share of Biology and Chemistry questions are single facts.
Count your risk. With +4 and −1 marking, a blind guess gives about +0.25 marks on average and one cleared option about +0.67. That is arithmetic, not an official strategy.
Check the pattern on the 2026 exam page and practise from the previous year papers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
No. These ranges are our estimates from 217 classified questions in the 2024 and 2025 recalled papers.
Human physiology in Biology, organic and inorganic Chemistry (especially coordination compounds and oxides), and electricity and magnetism in Physics.
Yes. Each correct answer gives 4 marks, and each wrong answer deducts 1 mark.
