The SRM College of Physiotherapy, SRMIST, will hold the 5th edition of ROM – The Physio Run on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, at 8:00 am, with the opening ceremony at Arichal Munai Beach, Dhanushkodi. This initiative began in 2021 and has grown into a flagship initiative promoting physical health and well-being across India.
This 640-kilometer Physio Run, aligned with World Physiotherapy Day 2025, focuses on the theme “Healthy Ageing.” The run will pass through major cities and SRM campuses, raising awareness about physical health and longevity.

The ceremonial torch will be lit by the ROM Team and carried through SRM Madurai, the SRM Tiruchirappalli Campus, and the SRM Baburayanpettai Campus, concluding at the SRM Kattankulathur Campus.
Chief guests for the event at SRM College of Physiotherapy include Thiru Simranjeet Singh Kahlon (District Collector, Ramanathapuram, TN), Captain Arjun Menon (Commanding Officer, INS Parundu), and Commandant Illavarasan (Indian Coast Guard). The event is also supported by esteemed patrons: Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar (Pro Vice Chancellor, Medicine and Health Sciences, SRMIST), Lt Col (Dr) A. Ravikumar (Advisor), Organising Secretary Mrs. F. Mariyam Faarzana (Associate Professor), and Organising Co-Chairman Dr. T. N. Suresh (Vice Principal, SRMCPT).
