Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, conducts the entrance exam (OPENNET) for admission to Post Basic BSc nursing courses.   • They must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the profession after registration as RNRM.
  • Male nurses who have not studied midwifery in their GNM program must have a 6–9 month certificate course in any Nursing subject, as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), in lieu of midwifery.
  1. For candidates with a class 10 qualification

  • Candidates must be Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM).
  • Candidates should have completed class 10 or its equivalent.
  • Aspirants must have a 3-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
  • They must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the profession after registration as RNRM.
  • Male nurses who have not studied midwifery in their GNM program must have a 6–9 month certificate course in any Nursing subject, as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), in lieu of midwifery.
