The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the EWS NEET cutoff 2025 at neet.nta.nic.in The NEET 2025 general EWS cut off is announced along with the results. The NEET general EWS cut off is 686 - 144. For the physically handicapped candidates, the EWS NEET cut off is 143 - 127. The NEET qualifying marks for EWS category are 50th percentile for the general category and 45th percentile for the Physically handicapped category.

The EWS NEET cut off marks play a significant role in determining the admission prospects for students who have qualified for the NEET exam. Based on the cutoff, a NEET merit list is prepared. Candidates belonging to the EWS category, whose names are included in the merit list are eligible for the NEET UG counselling. The Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category was introduced by the Indian government to provide reservation benefits to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who do not belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC). Only candidates of the general category who are from the economically weaker sections come under the EWS category. To be eligible, candidates need to have an EWS certificate in NEET.
