The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the EWS NEET cutoff 2025 at neet.nta.nic.in The NEET 2025 general EWS cut off is announced along with the results. The NEET general EWS cut off is 686 - 144. For the physically handicapped candidates, the EWS NEET cut off is 143 - 127. The NEET qualifying marks for EWS category are 50th percentile for the general category and 45th percentile for the Physically handicapped category.

The EWS NEET cut off marks play a significant role in determining the admission prospects for students who have qualified for the NEET exam. Based on the cutoff, a NEET merit list is prepared. Candidates belonging to the EWS category, whose names are included in the merit list are eligible for the NEET UG counselling. To be eligible for admission to top medical colleges in India and dental colleges in India, candidates need to score equal or above the NEET cut off for EWS category. Types of EWS NEET cut off

NEET cutoff marks for the EWS category come in two forms: admission cutoff and NEET qualifying marks 2025. The NEET qualifying marks or NEET passing marks are the minimal marks that candidates must achieve from the total marks in NEET. While the EWS NEET 2025 cut off for admission is the final rank at which an applicant will be granted admission. Medical colleges that accept NEET scores will grant admission according to the NEET 2025 cut-off. The NEET cutoff for MBBS government college is released after the 15% AIQ seats counselling of MCC and the 85% state quota counselling.

EWS category in NEET

The Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category was introduced by the Indian government to provide reservation benefits to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who do not belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC). Only candidates of the general category who are from the economically weaker sections come under the EWS category. To be eligible, candidates need to have an EWS certificate in NEET.

Is it possible to prepare both neet and jee entrances exam ?

Hello Aspirant

Preparing for both NEET and JEE together is possible, but honestly, very tough.
The syllabus is huge. NEET needs strong Biology, and JEE needs strong Math.
Both exams have very different styles and expectations.
Only students with very strong basics and high discipline can manage both well.

If you are an average student, it’s better to choose one exam and focus fully on it. These are my honest advise to you, you can prepare for one exam and crack that exam, the future opportunities are many in JEE and NEET.
