Correction Window NEET 2026: What Can be Changed?

The following details can be changed during the correction window of NEET 2026 -

  • Personal Details: Father’s and Mother’s names (limited to one change in most cases).

  • Category & Sub-Category: Candidates can change their category or PwD status.

  • Exam City and Language Preferences: Choice of NEET 2026 exam cities and the medium of the question paper can be changed.

  • Educational Qualifications: Marks, board name, year of passing, and roll numbers for Class 10, and 12.

  • Uploaded Documents: NTA generally allows candidates to re-upload signatures if the original was unclear or incorrect.

NEET Correction Window 2026: What Cannot be Changed?

The following details cannot be changed through NEET UG correction window 2026 -

  • Registered Contact Info: No changes are allowed in the registered Mobile Number or Email ID.

  • Permanent Identity Details: The Aadhaar Number or other submitted permanent identity proofs cannot be edited

  • Biometric Data: Fingerprints and thumb impressions cannot be changed.

  • Captured Live Photograph: The live photo taken during the application process of NEET 2026 cannot be changed.

Correction Window for NEET UG 2026: Signature Correction

As per the NEET information bulletin 2026, corrections in the signature of candidates are not allowed. The NTA has clearly specified to upload the signature in proper format and size, as no opportunity will be provided for correction in signature at any stage, which includes the NEET correction window too.

However, NTA stated the same in the information bulletin of NEET 2025, but later provided an opportunity to make corrections in the “Signature” during the NEET correction window. Hence candidates can expect the same thing this year too with NTA allowing students to make corrections in their “Signature” through the NEET 2026 correction window.

NEET 2026 Correction Window: Complete Process

The NEET correction window 2026 is a one-time opportunity for making corrections in the application form. The step-wise process to make corrections through the NEET correction window 2026 is as follows:

  • Go to the official NEET 2026 website, neet.nta.nic.in.

  • Log in using the NEET 2026 Application Number and Password

  • Click on the link provided for "Correction in NEET (UG)-2026 Application" on the dashboard.

  • Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to the registered mobile number and email ID to proceed.

  • Make changes in the permissible fields. Changes will often appear in Red for review.

  • Double-check every modified entry and click on "Final Submit"

  • After successful submission, download and print the NEET 2026 Correction Slip (Revised NEET 2026 Confirmation Page).

NEET UG Correction Window 2026 Fee

Normally there is no fee for making any corrections through the NEET 2026 correction window. However, if due to changes in the category of candidate, there is an increase in the application fee, candidates need to pay the additional amount online.
