Is NEET registration date extended 2025?

No! The NEET registration date is not extended. Generally, the NTA announces the extension of the NEET registration deadline a few days before starting the NEET correction window. Earlier, NTA released a notification regarding the NTA NEET UG correction window and confirmed that the NEET correction window 2025 will be available from March 9. The correction window for NEET 2025 closed on March 11 and with this, it is pretty much clear that the NEET registration date will not be extended now.

Why is There No Extension of NEET Registration Last Date?

Some of the reasons behind why NTA is not extending the NEET registration last date 2025 are as following -

  1. Streamlined Examination Process

NEET is the biggest medical entrance examination, with lakhs of candidates applying each year. The NEET 2024 was surrounded by several controversies, and the integrity of the NEET UG exam was questioned at several times. The NTA needs to maintain a fixed schedule to ensure the integrity of the biggest medical entrance examination in India by sticking to its already fixed NEET exam 2025 dates.

  1. Transparency and Fairness

Providing an extension to the NEET registration period may lead to accusations of favoritism or unequal opportunities. By sticking to a strict deadline, the NTA wants to ensure a sense of transparency and fairness among the candidates who have registered.

  1. Encouraging Timely Registration

By following the set NEET 2025 registration deadline, the NTA encourages candidates to stay focused and complete their applications on time. Extending the date could result in a last-minute rush that may lead to technical errors or other issues.
