NEET exam pattern 2025 has changed. The conducting body, NTA has brought major modifications in the NEET 2025. As per the latest updates, there will be no section B with optional questions. A total of 180 questions will be asked in 3 hours time duration. The NEET exam centres for India have been reduced to 552. Also, a new tie breaking rule has been introduced in NEET 2025. The expert committee suggested several potential changes in the NEET 2025 exam. The expected NEET 2025 changes favour the online conduct of NEET UG exam, hybrid mode, two - stage exam, limited number of attempts, application fee among others. The changes in NEET UG 2025 are discussed below.
The panel proposes for the online format of NEET exam. It advises the hybrid model if online entrance is not feasible. The NEET exam question papers will be sent digitally to the examination centres.
The committee advocates for the multiple stage exam similar to the JEE format which allows authorities to manage a large number of candidates more effectively.

NEET exam pattern 2025 by NTA
The NEET 2025 eligibility criteria rules has been published along with the information bulletin. Medical aspirants who are appearing for the NEET 2025 are required to strictly adhere to the latest NEET 2025 changes in eligibility. As per the NEET eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects are eligible to appear in NEET UG exam.
The NEET attempt restrictions proposed by the expert committee allows candidates to appear in the NEET UG entrance exam in limited times. The NTA NEET UG 2025 attempt restriction is crucial for aspirants as it defines the number of attempts a student will be allowed to appear for the NEET exam. It was expected that there could be a restriction on the number of attempts. Currently, there are no restrictions on the NEET attempt limit as students can appear in NEET as many times they wish.

Yes , the NEST exam is generally considered tougher than NEET as it requires more focus towards conceptual understanding and thinking , while NEET generally tests NCERT based knowledge where as in NEST it requires you to have deeper clarity in Physics , Chemistry , Biology and Mathematics.
