To be eligible for the Tamil Nadu BSc nursing admissions, candidates are required to register and fill the application form within the specified time period. The merit list of Tamil Nadu BSc nursing 2025 is prepared based on the marks obtained by the registered candidates in class 12 Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. The marks obtained by the students in any board are reduced to a maximum of 200 marks by applying the normalization process.

After applying the normalization process, if two or more candidates obtain equal marks, DMER, Tamil Nadu applied the tie-breaking policy to prepare the merit list for BSc nursing admission 2025. The Tamil Nadu merit list tie breaking policy can be checked below.
The candidate with a higher percentage in Biology (Botany and Zoology) in class 12 is given a higher rank in the merit list.
If the tie still remains, the one with a higher percentage in Chemistry is ranked higher.
If it continues, the candidate with better marks in Physics is placed above the other.
If the tie is not broken, the percentage of marks in the fourth optional subject is considered next.
If they are still tied, the older candidate (by age) is given preference.
Finally, if all criteria are still the same, the candidate with the higher random number is placed higher in the merit list.

Counselling for special category candidates is conducted prior to the general category counselling.
