QnA related to NEET

Ask your question related to NEET

Hey, with 500 marks in NEET there is a high possibility of chance that you cannot get the admission as you are short of 40-50 marks which is highly based on the number you have mentioned but you can follow the state quota follow up in which it can allow you to take the admission to go through

So according to you score in NEET your chances of getting a government MBBS colleges is quite difficult because last year the ranks closed till 460-470 that also in the later rounds but not impossible you can still try for it. You can check this mentioned link for daily updates of counselling dme.mponline.gov.in

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, having an NCC 'A' Certificate can be a very good thing during NEET counseling, but it will not directly add any grace marks to your NEET score. In Telangana, the NCC certificate is considered under the special category reservations during counseling, and it is only applicable for state quota seats in government colleges.

If you happen to apply in the NCC category, make sure to select it while filling out the application form and upload the certificate. Specific seats are reserved for NCC candidates by state norms and this certificate can put you in priority for allotment procedure, but once again no additional marks will crystalize in your NEET score.

You NEET AIR is 1,43,260 and your Category Rank is 69,312 So if you are from general category than it is very difficult for you to get a government colleges but if you are Obv, ews or sc then you have a chance to get BDS. With this rank you can get admission in private dental colleges.

Good morning

No, because qualification in NEET itself is the eligibility criteria to enter counselling. Since 102 marks is below the persistently lowest qualifying range of around 113 for reserved categories, you are not eligible to participate in CW or any other quota during NEET UG counselling.

I suggest you reattempt NEET in the next session.

Or

Consider alternative career options in allied health fields, paramedical courses, or other undergraduate programmes that do not rely solely on NEET scores.

You can explore institutional or management quota seats in private colleges if financially feasible, though those are still highly competitive and may require better NEET marks.

Honestly speaking according to your rank that is 72,925 it is very difficult for you to get  government colleges because government colleges cutt off usually goes to 30000 and last round of counselling usually ends at 50000-60000 for EWS. You can only apply for private colleges.

Your rank of 167178 is considered relatively low for government colleges in Andhra Pradesh, especially for the general category. However, with the OBC reservation, you may have a chance in some government colleges and a better chance in private or deemed universities.

Colleges to Explore (General Ideas, Research Specifics):

Government Medical Colleges which require good score in State Quota or AIQ

Research the cutoffs for colleges like:

Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam

Guntur Medical College, Guntur

Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad: (now in Telangana, but was part of Andhra Pradesh)

S.V. Medical College, Tirupati

Private/Deemed Medical Colleges:

Research colleges like:

Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation, Amalapuram

Santha Institute of Medical Sciences, Chilakaluripet

NRI Medical College, Guntur

Various other private colleges in Andhra Pradesh

Fees will vary significantly, check the college websites for details

All India Quota:

Explore colleges under AIQ, including those in Andhra Pradesh, based on past year's cutoffs.

Fees:

Government Medical Colleges:

Government colleges have much lower fees, often in the range of 10,000 to 50,000 per year.

Private/Deemed Medical Colleges:

Fees vary greatly but can range from 3 Lakh to 25 Lakh or more per year.

Total Fees:

Factor in tuition, hostel, and other charges for the entire course duration (typically 5.5 years).

Hope it helps!!

Hello,

Unfortunately, even under the CW quota, entrance to Government Medical College is quite impossible for someone with 105 NEET scores. Even though the CW quota offers some leeway, government medical institutions often have even higher cutoffs  as usually qualifying Neet scores between 130 to 137.

Hello Iqra

As you have gotten 230 marks in Neet 2025 and your category is EWS, there is still no chance to get a seat in Government Medical College as the cutoff for the EWS category is around 600-610 marks.

However, you could go for other courses like BDS/BPT/BMLT/B.Pharm/B.Sc(NursiNG)/Paramedical courses etc as you can get a seat in them at your rank at category.

You can see more at: Neet College Predictor

Thank You!!!

Hello,

With a Telangana state rank of 7445 in NEET, your chances of getting colleges are good if you are belonging from reserved categories. But if you are belonging from general category your chances are low to moderate due higher cutoffs for MBBS seat.

For BDS and AYUSH courses, Dental and BAMS colleges cutoffs are typically lower, you could have a fair chance of getting colleges.
