Assam Agricultural University Veterinary Entrance Test (AAU VET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Assam Agricultural University to admit students into various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.
To appear in the examination, candidates will have to fill out the AAU VET 2023 application form. The entrance exam will be held in computer-based mode in three different cities of Assam namely, Guwahati, Jorhat and Biswanath Charialli.
As per the AAU VET exam pattern 2023, a total of 150 questions will be asked in the examination and candidates will have to complete the test within 2 hours. The question paper will be divided into two sections, sections A & B. Section A will contain 45 questions each from Physics and Chemistry whereas section B will contain 30 questions each from Zoology and Botany.
AAU VET is held once a year for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) and Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) courses.

AAU VET Assam Agricultural University Veterinary Entrance Test (session 2023)
Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria of AAU VET 2023 to appear for the entrance exam. Check the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for AAU VET 2023.
Eligibility criteria for BVSc & AH program
Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agriculture as main subjects from a recognized board including NIOS.
Candidates belonging to the General/OBC/UPS category must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks whereas those belonging to SC/ST/DAC category must have secured a minimum of 40% aggregate.
The minimum age of candidates should be 17 years and the maximum age should be 25 years, on or before December 31, 2023.
Eligibility criteria for MVSc program
A candidate must have passed the B.Sc. (Agri)/ B.Sc. (Hort.)/ B.Sc. (Seri.)/ B.Sc (Agri. Biotech)/ B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture/ Horticulture/ B.Sc.(H.Sc.)/ B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science/ B.F.Sc./ B.Tech (Fishery Science) of 4 years duration/ B.V.Sc & A.H. of 5 or 5 and half years duration from a recognized university.
Candidates must have secured a minimum CGPA of 2.60/4.00 scale or 3.25/5.00 scale or 6.60/10.00 scale for Gen/OBC/UPS category and 2.20/4.00 or 2.75/5.00 or 5.60/10.00 for SC/ST/DAC.
In case the Grade points are not awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General/OBC/UPS category and 50% marks for SC/ST/DAC category.

AAU VET 2023 application form process
Registration: Visit the online registration portal at aau.ac.in and enter basic details such as a valid email ID, contact number, and more. After successful registration, the login ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID and phone number.
Fee payment: Login using the login ID and password and select the category. Candidates will then be redirected to the payment gateway for fee payment.
Filling out the application form: After successful fee payment, candidates will have to fill out the application form by entering their personal and academic details and uploading the documents.
