    1 GTP

    Hence, for one glucose, Kreb’s cycle occurs twice and produce:

    Significance of Kreb’s Cycle:
    Intermediate compounds formed during the Kreb’s cycle are used for the synthesis of biomolecules like amino acids, nucleotides, chlorophyll, cytochromes and fats etc.
    Intermediate like succinyl CoA takes part in the formation of chlorophyll.
