Which of the following in kreb cycle takes part in the formation of chlorophyll.
Each Kreb’s Cycle produces:
3 NADH
1 FADH2
1 GTP
Hence, for one glucose, Kreb’s cycle occurs twice and produce:
6 NADH
2 FADH2
2 GTP
Significance of Kreb’s Cycle:
Intermediate compounds formed during the Kreb’s cycle are used for the synthesis of biomolecules like amino acids, nucleotides, chlorophyll, cytochromes and fats etc.
Intermediate like succinyl CoA takes part in the formation of chlorophyll.
Amino Acids are formed from α- Ketoglutaric acid, pyruvic acids and oxaloacetic acid.
