NEET-qualified candidates need to fill out the AFMC MBBS 2026 application form and based on the NEET score, a merit list will be released for the counselling process.     AFMC MBBS Application Form

    The shortlisted candidates are called for the screening. The exact schedule of AFMC screening will be available on the official website. Based on the NEET score and screening at AFMC, two separate merit lists of boys and girls will be released. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR), which is a computer-based test (CBT). This will be followed by the Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview and Medical Examination at AFMC, Pune. Admission to the institute is granted based on scores obtained in written examinations and Interviews.     AFMC MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2026

    Candidates wishing to apply for AFMC MBBS admission must have the following eligibility criteria.

    • Nationality - The candidate should be a citizen of India. If foreign candidates get Indian citizenship and also a certificate of eligibility from the Ministry of Home Affairs, they can fill AFMC MBBS 2026 application form. This does not apply to the 5 Government Sponsored Candidates from Friendly Foreign Countries
    • Marital status - The aspiring candidate must be unmarried when joining the course. The authorities will not allow such candidates to continue the course who marry during the duration of the same.
    • Age - By January 31, 2026 the candidate must attain the age of 17 years, but must not be more than 24 years of age.
    • Others - Aspirants who originally belong to the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are also eligible to apply
    • Medical fitness - The candidate should be medically fit as per the standards of the Government of India, Ministry of Defence

    How to fill out AFMC MBBS Application Form 2026?

    AFMC aspirants must familiarise themselves with the process to fill out the AFMC MBBS 2026 application form. Steps for the same are mentioned in the points below:

    • Visit the official website, mcc.nic.in.
    • Click on the ‘AFMC application form’ link.
    • Enter NEET roll number and date of birth.
    • Verify the filled details before submitting the AFMC application form.
    • After filling in the required details, make the application fee payment.
    • Download and take a printout of the same.

    Note - Candidates are advised to keep a copy of their NEET application form while registering for AFMC MBBS 2026. This is because the details entered on it and on the application form of AFMC MBBS should match.

    What after filling the application form of AFMC MBBS?

    Candidates who successfully submit the AFMC MBBS application form 2026 will be allowed to participate in the counselling process. DGHS will conduct counselling for admissions. Candidates' final score will include performance in the ToELR and Personal Interview.

    A total of 145 candidates (115 boys & 30 girls) will be admitted for the year 2026. In addition to the above-mentioned seats, Govt, at its discretion through the Ministry of External Affairs & Ministry of Defence, may sponsor and select 5 NEET UG qualified foreign students from friendly foreign countries for MBBS training in AFMC, under their aid/collaboration programs. Up to 10 seats out of 145 are offered to candidates belonging to SC and ST.

    Documents required for AFMC MBBS application 2026

    The authority releases the AFMC merit list 2026 after the completion of the application process. Candidates need to produce the documents required for the AFMC MBBS application at the time of the counselling process. Details of AFMC documents required are provided by the authority in the joining instructions. A list of documents required for AFMC MBBS admission is provided below.

    • Character certificate from the institution last attended
    • Secondary School Certificate or Birth Certificate
    • Demand draft of Rs. 250 in the name of ‘DGAFMS Admission Fund’, payable at New Delhi
    • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
    • Aadhaar card
    • A certificate from the principal of the last school stating that the candidate was a regular student
    • NEET scorecard
    • Caste certificate (if applicable)
    • NEET admit card
    • Sports Certificate and the level of representation (if applicable)
    • AFMC registration slip printout
    • NCC Certificate
    • Coloured photograph with white background: passport size and stamp size (16 each)

Earlier, the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions had announced NEET UG as a mandatory exam for admission to paramedical courses. However, later, the commission issued an official notification stating that NEET 2026 is not required
