AFMC MBBS Admission 2020 - Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is the conducting authority for AFMC MBBS 2020 admission. The authorities will release the application form of AFMC MBBS admission in the third week of June 2020. Eligible candidates will be available to fill the application form of AFMC MBBS 2020 till the fourth week of June 2020. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), behalf of AFMC, Pune will conduct AFMC MBBS counselling 2020 in the first week of July 2020. Aspirants must mandatorily qualify NEET UG in order to be eligible for AFMC admission. The merit list of AFMC admission 2020 will be prepared by DGHS on the basis of NEET 2020 scores. The authorities conducts AFMC MBBS for admission to 150 seats offered in the institute under different categories. AFMC MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2020

In order to be eligible to participate in the procedure for admission of AFMC MBBS admission aspirants have to fulfil the below mentioned eligibility criteria:

  • General - Candidates must be unmarried. Also the authorities will not allow candidates to marry before the completion of their course

  • Nationality - Candidates who are of Indian origin are eligible to apply for AFMC MBBS admission 2020. Also, candidates who receive eligibility certificate from the Ministry of Home Affairs are also eligible to apply

  • Medical fitness - Aspirants must fulfil the medical requirement as per Indian Army standards for AFMC MBBS 2020 admission. Some of these are mentioned below:

1. Aspirants must not have any disorder of disability

2. In case candidates are declared unfit they can appeal for it by paying a fee of ₹40

3. Minimum height and weight requirement for boys is 157.5 cms and 47 kgs respectively. The minimum height for Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, and Garhwali is 152.5 cms.

4. Minimum height and weight requirement for girls is 144 cms and 36 kgs.

5. Examination of candidates will be on the basis of height, speech, sight, skin infections, hearing ability, etc for the admission of AFMC MBBS

  • Age - Candidates must complete 17 years of age by December 31, 2020. Also, they must not be more than 24 years of age

  • Educational qualification - The information bulletin of AFMC MBBS admission 2020 lists a number of criterias for educational qualification that must be fulfilled by candidates.

AFMC MBBS 2020 Application Form

The authorities will release the application form of AFMC MBBS admission in the third week of June 2020. Eligible candidates can fill AFMC MBBS application form 2020 in online mode till the fourth week of June 2020. Aspirants must note that AFMC 2020 admission will be granted to candidates who successfully fill the application form. However, merely filling the application form of AFMC MBBS admission does not guarantee admission in the institute. The details to be entered in the application form has not been disclosed by the authorities due to security reasons. While filling the form candidates must keep the printout of NEET application form 2020 with them for reference.

AFMC MBBS Merit List 2020

After the last date of registration for AFMC MBBS 2020 admission, DGHS will release a list of candidates who have been shortlisted for Screening test. This list thus released will be AFMC MBBS merit list and candidates whose names reflect in the same will have to report to the venue as announced on the official website. According to the information bulletin of AFMC MBBS admission 2020, the venue and other details for Screening test will be announced on the official website in the third week of June 2020. Candidates must also note that the authorities will not entertain any request for a change in the venue.

AFMC MBBS NEET Cutoff 2020

It is extremely essential that candidates secure the minimum qualifying percentile in NEET UG 2020 to be eligible for admissions. Only those candidates who successfully register, secure minimum qualifying percentile in NEET and fulfil other eligibility conditions can participate in AFMC MBBS admission 2020. AFMC MBBS Counselling 2020

The counselling for AFMC MBBS 2020 admission includes a number of steps as mentioned below:

  • Document verification

  • Test of English Language & Comprehension and Logical Reasoning

  • Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)

  • Interview by the board of officers

  • Medical examination

On the basis of scores obtained in all the above and in NEET UG 2020, 150 candidates will be granted admission to the institute by the authorities.

Documents Required for AFMC MBBS admission 2020

Candidates are required to keep certain documents handy when they report to the allotted institute to get their documents verified for AFMC MBBS 2020 admission. These have been listed below:

  • Passport size recent photograph

  • Class 10 mark sheet

  • Demand Draft of INR 250

  • Class 12 mark sheet

  • Registration Slip

  • Certificate from the last school which should state that the candidate was a regular student.

  • Category certificate, if applicable

Pooja, that depends on the University guidelines that you want to apply for studying Medicine in. Few Universities have a mandate that the Students should have a certain number of years of education. If you have only attempted 11th, that will not be counted. But to qualify to study MBBS abroad, you need to qualify in NEET and the basic eligibility criteria for NEET apply.

hello i passed 12th in 2014 but have 48% in pcb. this year i filled the form as improvement in open school. but exam is on November. and neet exam is on may. wot can i do now.

Neha, you haven't mentioned your Category. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now assuming that you belong to General Category, you should have the results before counselling starts. But if the exams are in November, unfortunately they wont be of much help for NEET 2020 and you may have to appear for NEET 2021.

Priyanka, you can just study Biology as an additional subject from NIOS instead of all 3 Physics, Chemistry and Biology and you can still be eligible for NEET. Now even NIOS students are eligible for NEET. You need to score a minimum aggregate of 50% in these 3 subjects to be eligible for NEET. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST.

NTA has released a press notification that you can select any State under State of Eligibility for All India Counselling. This is because no matter which State you hold the domicile of, you will be eligible for All India Counselling of all States except for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh because Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh do not participate in All India Counselling.

Hey there, good morning. i belong to Muslim religion, category open (general), but as i am Muslim and with open category, is it compulsory for me to select minority as yes in the form because i dont have a minority certificate to show them when needed. i have already selected "No". can i change??

The Information Bulletin says that Candidates who belong to Minority community for example Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi can select Minority as Yes in the application form. And there is a self declaration form in the Information bulletin in Appendix XIII. You need to download it, fill it up and sign it. And then that will act as a proof of the fact that you belong to Minority community. You can change your minority status in the correction window. NTA has opened the correction window on January 15th and will be open until January 31st. Login into the official website and make the necessary corrections.
