AFMC MBBS Admission 2019 - The Armed Forces Medical College, Pune will be conducting the AFMC MBBS 2019 admission process. The college conducts its own counselling process for admission to AFMC MBBS courses. NEET 2019 qualified candidates seeking AFMC MBBS admission 2019 must register with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) to participate in the MBBS admission process of AFMC. DGHS on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is the responsible body for holding the registration process for counselling and providing AFMC with the list of registered candidates. It must be noted that without qualifying NEET UG, candidates will not be able to register with DGHS to participate in AFMC MBBS 2019 admission process. AFMC will be selecting a total of 150 candidates for MBBS admission in the academic year 2019. On the basis of NEET 2019 score of the candidates, AFMC will be releasing an AFMC MBBS merit list which will include a selected number of candidates. These candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. AFMC MBBS counselling 2019 will include English Language test, Logical Reasoning test and Psychological Assessment followed by the personal interview. General Eligibility - Candidate must be unmarried and marriage during the course is not permitted.
Nationality - Only Indian citizens can apply for AFMC MBBS 2019 admission. Apart from this, candidates who have obtained the eligibility certificate from Ministry of Home Affairs can also apply.
Medical Standards - Candidate should be mentally and physically fit to pursue the MBBS course. The salient features of the medical standards of AFMC MBBS admission is given below-
AFMC medical board will declare candidates fit or unfit.
Candidates declared unfit can appeal by paying a fee of INR 40/-.
The candidate will be examined on the basis of their speech, sight, hearing ability, and skin infections (if any).
Applicants should not have any kind of disorder.
They must be free from any type of disability.
The minimum height and weight required for AFMC MBBS admission can be checked below-
Girls Standard – Minimum height of 144 cms and minimum weight of 36 kgs.
Boys Standard – Minimum height of 157.5 cms and minimum weight of 47 kgs. The minimum height for Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, and Garhwali is 152.5 cms.
The candidates who are overweight as per their height will not be considered fit for AFMC MBBS admission 2019.
Age Limit - Candidates should complete at least 17 years by December 31, 2019, and should not be more than 24 years of age at the time of AFMC MBBS admission 2019.
Academic Eligibility - The academic eligibility for AFMC MBBS admission is as per the NEET 2019 regulations. In addition, candidates must also have passed in Class 10 with mathematics as one of the subjects.
AFMC has also issued a list of non-eligibility clauses-
Candidate should not have Domestic Arithmetic, Domestic Science or Lower Maths in Class 12 or equivalent examination.
Candidates who have made a combination of General Science/Social studies with the above-listed subjects are not eligible.
Candidates who have qualified Pre-University/Pre-Degree (one-year course) or Pre-Professional in Agriculture/Veterinary/Dental Examination will not be considered for AFMC MBBS admission.
Candidates who have completed Pre-professional or equivalent examination from open schools will not be considered eligible to apply for AFMC MBBS 2019 admission.
Candidates who fulfil the academic qualification but have secured the required percentage in compartments are not eligible.
The application form for AFMC MBBS admission 2019 will be issued by the DGHS in online mode only. AFMC MBBS application form will be released in the second week of June 2019 tentatively. Candidates need to pay INR 1,000 as AFMC MBBS application form fees through Demand Draft in the name of ‘DGFAMS Admission Fund’, payable at New Delhi. The DGHS will be providing the list of candidates who will apply for admission to AFMC MBBS 2019 to AFMC, Pune. The conducting body will be releasing the AFMC Merit list by taking into consideration the NEET score of the applicants.
AFMC, Pune will be releasing the AFMC MBBS merit list 2019 most likely in the fourth week of June 2019. The merit list will be only issued in online mode on the official website of AFMC. The inclusion in the AFMC Merit list will signify candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The names of the candidates will be listed in the decreasing order of their NEET score. The merit list for AFMC MBBS admission 2019 will be released separately for boys and girls. The list will also contain a notice pertaining to the counselling process.
The NEET cutoff of AFMC MBBS will be declared after the release of the merit list for AFMC MBBS. The cutoff will signify the last score considered for AFMC MBBS counselling 2019. The AFMC MBBS NEET cutoff for the previous year will be made available so that candidates will get an idea about the NEET marks that they need to score to participate in the counselling process. As the cutoff depends on various factors like the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, marks scored by the applicants, which changes every year, the AFMC MBBS NEET cutoff 2019 will also vary.

The counselling for AFMC MBBS admission include various processes namely verification of documents, ToELR (Test of English Language & Comprehension and Logical Reasoning), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), interview by the board of officers, and medical examination. The marks scored by the candidates in these tests will be combined with the NEET score and the top candidates will be provided admission to 150 seats of AFMC MBBS course.
