AFMC MBBS 2017: Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune will not conduct any entrance test for admissions to MBBS programme. Instead, AFMC MBBS 2017 admissions will be on the basis of candidate’s marks in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017. Candidates who will qualify NEET 2017 will be invited to appear in ToELR (Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning), a psychological assessment test cum interview. Thus, in order to participate in the admission process of AFMC MBBS 2017, candidates will have to mandatory appear in NEET 2017 and qualify it. Candidates who will not appear in NEET 2017 are not eligible to fill AFMC MBBS 2017 application forms. Among the total MBBS seats in AFMC MBBS, 105 are reserved for boys and 25 seats are for girl candidates. Further, 10 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories. Candidates’ marks obtained in NEET 2017 will be added to the ToELR score and divided by 4 to get an actual score out of 200. Thus, the score obtained will be treated as a final score for AFMC MBBS 2017 admission along with interview of 50 marks. This must be noted that all candidates are eligible for admissions in AFMC MBBS 2017 irrespective of their state domiciles.

The merit list of AFMC MBBS 2017 has been declared on July 13, 2017. AFMC Pune will not send call letters to all candidates selected for MBBS programme. AFMC MBBS 2017 merit list consists of the candidate’s roll number has published on the website of AFMC. Further, only those candidates whose roll numbers appear in AFMC MBBS 2017 merit list will be given admissions.
AFMC MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2017
AFMC, Pune has declared the separate eligibility criteria for AFMC MBBS admissions 2017:
Candidate must be an Indian Citizen
- He/ she must be unmarried during the programme
Candidate must have completed 17 years of age as or on December 31, 2017 but must not have attained the age of 24 years on that date i.e. must have been born not earlier than 1 January, 1994 and not later than 31 December, 2000.
Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary/10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Candidate must have secured 60% marks and above in aggregate in Class XII
Candidate must have passed Mathematics exam in Class X

The application form of AFMC MBBS 2017 has been made available starting July 3, 2017 and will continue until July 11, 2017
AFMC MBBS 2017 application forms will be available in online mode only
The online registrations must be completed on or before the last date
AFMC MBBS 2017 applications will consist of five steps, i.e. Registrations, filling up of qualification and personal details, uploading of photograph and signature and payment of application fee amount
The application fee for AFMC MBBS 2017 admissions is Rs 250 which can be paid through a Demand draft in the name of ‘DGAFMS Admission Fund’, payable at New Delhi.
AFMC MBBS Selection Procedure 2017
AFMC MBBS 2017 selection procedure is a two stage process. First, candidates will be shortlisted for ToELR and interview on the basis of NEET 2017 scores. The shortlisted candidates in order of online registrations numbers will be called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) and Psychological assessment cum Interview to be held from July 18 onwards. Basically, ToELR is a computer based test consisting of 40 MCQs of 2 marks each. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every incorrect response. Candidates will have to answer 40 questions in 30 minutes. The marks obtained in ToELR will be added to NEET 2017 score. This will be divided by 4 to get the written examination score out of 200. The interview will consist of 50 marks. The final AFMC MBBS 2017 merit will be based on the Final score thus obtained in written examination score + interview marks.
