The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) is a statutory body established under the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021.
Its main purpose is to regulate education, training, and professional standards for Allied and Healthcare Professionals in India.
Until now, many allied-health courses admit students through state-level exams or Class 12 merit. However, for the 2026-27 session, NCAHP has made NEET 2026 mandatory for allied courses.
The NCAHP NEET eligibility 2026 for admission to Allied and Healthcare courses are as following -
The candidates must appear for the NEET UG 2026 examination, which will be conducted by the NTA. Without appearing for the NEET 2026, candidates will be considered ineligible for admission to Allied and Healthcare Sciences courses. The NCAHP NEET eligibility 2026 is only limited to candidates appearing in the exam, there is no provision of qualifying the exam as of now.
To be eligible for NCAHP NEET 2026, candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the core subjects. Apart from this, students must have scored the following minimum marks in 10 + 2.
General category: 50% marks
SC/ST/OBC: 40% marks
PwD: 45% marks
The candidates must have attained the minimum age of 17 years as of the date of admission. There is no upper age limit as per the existing guidelines.

Yes the NEET 2026 cutoff for allied courses will be lower than MBBS and BDS. This is because qualifying NEET is not mandatory for allied health sciences admission, whereas MBBS and BDS requires students to qualify the exam.
Students without Biology are not eligible for admission under NCAHP NEET eligibility 2026.
Currently there are only 13 courses for which NEET 2026 is required. However, more courses of Allied Health can be added by NCAHP.
Candidates don’t need to qualify the NEET 2026 for BPT admissions. As per NCAHP, candidates are only required to appear for the NEET 2026 and are not required to mandatorily qualify it.
